I think sc2 is stressful for me because I have to constantly, from beginning to end, pay 100% attention to the screen and make sure everything i do in the game is as efficient as I am capable of. In LoL, i dont have to do that. The first minute of the game is just sitting and waiting ffs, I can just relax. If I die, i have to wait to respawn, I can just relax. It's a no brainer. Not only is LoL more entertaining to play, i feel more comfortable while playing it.

I see this point brought up over and over, but not what changed in LOL that made it suddenly the better game? Riots willingness to evolve really. I played League when it first hit the market. The game was... rough around the edges we'll say. The major change in the game that has spurred it forward in competitive esports is Season 2. Riot decided that they have finally gotten the gameplay and balance into a state that they are happy with, so they started pushing it competitively. -Constant tweaks to the various heroes to manage their competitive and casual applications. One of their major rules is that no single hero can ever be too dominant in either competitive OR casual play, even if it affects the other in a negative way. If a single champion is going 20-0 every game even in the noob realm, it will be nerfed. -Actively engaging the community. Riot updates their own forums constantly. Many of their top game designers are active community members including casting gigs and such. Riot is deeply invested in their community. -Putting their money where their mouth is. Riot just finished their world championships tournament this past weekend. I'm not sure how much money was put up, but I know that it's over $1 million in prizes. -Boldness moving forward. Immediately after all this success, Riot has announced that Season 3 is right around the corner and they are changing a good 50% of the game trying to make it better. These aren't small changes, they are massive, sweeping changes. They will take the risk and see how it turns out. Nobody wants a stagnant game, and Riot is happy to be the ones spurring the evolution of the metagame forward. Pretty much, Riot is making all the changes to their game that we have been asking Blizzard to make for the past 2 years. They aren't doing anything special, just standard maintenance of their game really...

Sorry I don't follow LoL, but I know from last night's NASL segment about the LoL world championship was that the grand final was a total of $2 million and the first place gets a million? Then the remaining 1 million gets divided among the 2nd thru whatever place right? Does LoL world championship also had like regional championships like WCS in SC2?

LoL is slightly more entertaining, and easier to play, (and less stressful) so that is what I'll play. Im not afraid of losing rank points, or ladder fear or any of that shit. The whole design of the genre is rage inducing when 1 bad person can fuck it up for the whole team.

Ah, but you can blame a loss on your teammates and never have to deal with the fact that you might have been the primary cause. The games let you scapegoat; there's almost no sense of personal responsibility in the community.

Starcraft is failing financially and viewer base as an e-sport. And its up to blizzard to fix it by adding in little mercs and etc. Blizz might even have to make sc2 free-to-play for a year or two just so we can get caught up. :

Then SC2 was never the game for you. Not everyone is cut out for such a demanding game. Enjoy your fearless, stress-free game my friend.

also the only reason people feel LoL or Dota is stress free is because they can just have the excuse that their allies were bad when you play 1v1s and your record is bad, it's entirely ur fault

It seemed that they saw the success on brood war and made wanted to make sure they had a piece of the pie by giving limitations to the community. I think it's time to let the community balance itself out... Let the community figure out what needs to be balanced and get map makers to implement them and tested by the community to see what is acceptable... Heck maybe a map maker can add better interesting units or even a new race.... Now that's some creativity I want to see, but blizzard somehow lost their touch and have become money hungry and to this day. Have not seen a decent mod map using the full potential of sc2 engine Someone make a decent fps like counter strike or something
