Only thing I'm sad about is that he doesnt seem to realize that saying "I dont want to leave for (foreign) money" and then looking for sponsors & streaming within a short period, makes him look bad. Even if it wasnt intentional I think it's fairly easy to see that some people interpret his actions like that. Also a bit too much whining in some of his statements for my taste (but hey others might like that). It doesn't feel like whining. felt more like "how can they say that about me?" Dude seems to respect and love Boxer a lot, seems he just let his emotions of Jessica over ride his feelings for Boxer in that phone call.
I meant the medical stuff. (and yes I know the interviewer asked those questions)

I skimmed through the interview but it does say quite a bit of what happened. Translation isn't the greatest but still insightful to the situation.

So I guess, he is just frustrated people would think he is faking about his medical situation to leave the team

Sounds like a misunderstanding between Crank and Jessica since MMA Ryung and Alicia were being divas and Crank's reassurance that he wasnt leaving for the money. If only he clarified with Jessica before advertising for a team a big chunk of this drama could've been avoided.

Seems like a misunderstanding, and they definitely should have talked to eachother and tried to sort it out before turning it into this hot drama mess. Jessica was in the right IMO to expose the training embargo and bullying but the in-house turmoil seems like a lack of communication.

Small correction: Coca was on Zennex before, and was rising when he switched to the more wealthy Slayers. The rest rose on Slayers though, you're correct - Boxer has a great appeal to rising talent

Crank's story makes way more sense than Jessica's endless dramapuke. If there's no proper management and the team founders aren't doing their jobs, the players will start to act out. It's their livelihood on the line, after all. The founders have already had success, if their team fails they still have the reputation and finances to go onto something else. The players have nothing.
In my opinion, Boxer leaving his team before it dissolved was inexcusable and unprofessional, no matter how badly things were going there. Leaving it to the publicity-Baneling that is Jessica is even worse. Captain doesn't need to go down with the ship, but he should at least make sure everyone is off before jumping into the liferaft.
From everything we're hearing, Slayers failed because it wasn't run properly. The practice ban was something that could have been handled professionally, the player complaints also, and they simply weren't. If Boxer had been focusing on running a team instead of trying to play better, I think things would have gone much better than having Jessica run it, simply because he knows the industry and he's done it before.
LE SIGH lol

I don't get how people are still holding onto this "diva" business after Crank's statement, at least with regards to MMA, and I have no idea how it even began @ Ryung.

TIG> Did you request it once? Many times? Crank: I requested a lot. After MMA started having problems with the team I was listening to both sides. In my opinion I couldn't understand why I was told to blame team problems to the players. I kept asking to change the way the team was run and I was told that they will change. The things I have requested to change was player's mind set, their bad practice atmosphere, and weak team work. I asked Boxer himself to front this change. I had never asked to make a better team.
Did something get lost in translation here? This doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. Crank asked management to change player's... mindset? Is there a korean speaker that can explain this part for me from the korean article please?

The gist I got from the interview was that the team had little guidance and leadership, so players were left completely to themselves for development. i.e. their coaches weren't coming up with ways for them to improve or drills to work on, they were just pressuring them for results.
This could just be my own bias speaking, so hopefully a korean-speaker can clarify.
