on topic - im not his fan and i kinda like how stupidity gets punished. u just dont share nude pics of people. and while a lot of people might infact do that, its still not an ok thing to do.
hope he finds a real job and stops sc2. gl with that.
I've posted nude pics of girls to my friends and talked about them.
Do I deserve to be kicked out of university, publicly humiliated, my university threatened to be shut down if they don't remove me and my entire hopes of a professional career rocked to it's foundations?
Not to mention the hurt that this put on his family. Destiny did what 100% of normal guys have done. He got caught like so many of us have done but because he's Destiny everyone wants to crucify him.
Obviously the real world situation is a little different but I really think that bluetea deserves to have some sort of real life retribution as well for accessing his accounts without permission and posting nudes publicly.
When you remove all of the e-sports and celebrity bulls**t and put the two crimes next to each other, I know which one I'd crucify.
The wrong move Destiny made was handing out his passwords..
i know 1 guy who was dumb enough to hand out multiple different passwords to various people and he got his bank account emptied.
Destiny is the 21st century "Beaver" from that 20th Century black and white show "Leave it to Beaver". A comedy version of that show was done where Beaver shoots Eddie Haskell and Beaver's dad says.. "maybe 25 years in a maximum security prison will teach you not to play with guns".
It's another lesson for Beaver.. i mean Destiny.... dont give out your personal account information and leave the passwords the same for a long time.
So yes, while it's not fair that this girl over-reacted, Catz has to get rid of Destiny because frankly, if he doesn't he looks like a very weak manager of a very undisciplined team. There's plenty of other teams that companies can sponsor, why would they give money to one with weak management, marginal tournament results, and unpredictable, erratic players?
So instead he looks like a douche-bag friend who wouldn't stand up to some idiot sponsors who can't tell the reddit flame squad wasn't buying their shit anyways.
People are fans of ROOT because of the personalities on the team and the friendly atmosphere of the team and the "FU" attitude they have to the more mainstream gamer teams. Releasing Destiny is probably worse for ROOT than Destiny's tweeted-dick.
Rush Order Tees sponsored them because the owners liked the team and followed them for a long time. I doubt they would pull out over this, and if they did then they were idiots for sponsoring ROOT in the first place.

Bring back Destiny!
ROOT originally disbanded because they lacked sponsors and the ability to retain talent. Their best players, like QXC and Sheth and Kiwi, where getting poached. They couldn't even keep Major.
Coaching and streaming is nice, but unless you're actually good at either, they're not stable sources of income. AND they eat into time you can be using to practice and actually become good at the game.
Teams NEED your so-called 'idiot sponsors'. ROOT already tried the experiment of holding out only for 'the right sponsors' and what they ended up with was a dysfunctional team that couldn't fly their players anywhere and charted a small handful or mediocre tournament results and prize winnings. I think the only player that achieved any notable results was Kiwikaki at the first few MLGs, and now Vibe at WCS.
Catz absolutely made the right call. He's the ultimate friend that is choosing to protect the 25 other people that support him from the toxic reputation of his one great friend that happens to be a habitual fuck-up.

Because many successful teams "stand up to some idiot sponsors" right? It seems like root wants to become a real team, rather than the "friendly atmosphere FU attitude towards the big teams sponsorless team." And a real team cannot have someone like destiny, it's just bad for their ability to get and maintain sponsors. I'm not a fan of root or destiny, but honestly this move is only good for root. By keeping him they would've ensured that they would be a sponsorless team.

On reddit she said she had his email password to help him schedule lessons, which allowed her to change his password on everything else.
Basically this means he can't sue her because he willingly gave her the password. However, she is still a bitch.
Doesnt matter. If I give my carkeys to someone so he can park my car he cannot steal my car. If I a friend the key to my house so he can feed my cat while I'm on vacation he cannot rob my house. If I leave my car unlocked with the keys inside no one is allowed to take my car.
Of course people will tell me that I'm a fucking idiot but that's completely irrelevant for the court.
Well yeah, but I think he will not be charged of breaking and entering but only for stealing.
I am not sure that there is a law that allows me to sue my girlfriend for instance if she puts on reddit a compromising conversation I had with someone as long as she did nothing illegal to get it.
So Destiny did not have his privacy breached since he shared it with Bluewhateverhernameis.
God bless America and their "report bad language and similar shit things". Your state transfered to idiotic because of this things. Mental code of ppls who reported Destiny is like when child report other for cheating at test in school. O my god. Thats so lame and stupid I dont know how to comment it. His stream isnt for everyone, even I personally do not watch it, I must appreciate what he does and how many viewers he got, good chunk of them ARE there becase of his "bad behaviour". I mean, this game isnt made for kids who cant hear such a things. I understand that girl is mad at him, but he had fcking internal conversation with 2 friends, and that shouldnt been leaked. And her revenge is totally unjustified and that overreaction made him lose his job. I want to make clear that I am not his fan, my opinion is based on this thread and few reddit posts. But wtf means to people to send mails to report this incident to sponsor? Typical western crap. They gain absolutely nothing from it, so whats the point of it? I understand management of ROOT, it's maybe unavoidable to keep him, but god this world is heading to wrong direction. I hope this guy will not change at all in future. GL Destiny
P.S. Sorry for bad english I hope you all understand my points here.
Could Destiny make a case out of this? He makes a living out of this and it kinda is his buisness and these hatecampaigns(eg. in the SRS subreddit) are obviously designed to destroy his life. They also often use false facts like him sharing nude photos of underage girls etc.
Now they even threat his last remaining sponsor cloudninelabs with emailing their partners for still supporting Destiny etc.
This just seems so destructive towards him and way out of proportion. Is this really legal? o0

If anyone needs Cloud Nine Lab's response and them being bros about this...
"Hello all, I'd like to thank the dozen or so of you for submitting concerns regarding Destinys recent public behavior. It has not been on our radar until now so we appreciate the opportunity to understand how our company is perceived in association with Steven himself. The principals at Cloud Nine Labs, including myself, remain in support of Stevens PR decisions. Furthermore, we encourage his brutal honesty, snide remarks, controversial comments / subjects, humor etc. as it brings a uniquely dynamic and highly entertaining element to the streaming experience. His strong personality is what makes him Destiny - one of the most successful SC2 streamers of all time. Other SC2 personalities should take a cue from Mr. Bonnell because the SC2 pro circuit is not just "gaming". It has become a powerful industry that can be monetized by establishing a strong, widely talked about brand which Steven has managed to accomplish. In short: stop bitching, change your tampons and up your game."

Haha, is that for real? "Change your tampons"? Really? That line sounds like it's come from a teenager, which I guess is appropriate as it's supporting a guy that acts like one.

I don't know what the law is in Germany but he is actually right. If destiny willingly provided information that is considered consent as far as photos/video/media go. So he could not sue her on that basis.
Soooo...If I get Stephano's tweeter account and Tweet all day "EG SUX MY BALLS I HAZ THEIR MONEY" do you think Stephano will get fired?
Really, you think this?
Stephano is actually good at SC2.
Destiny is only known for his big mouth, why is that good for SC or Esports in general? It's like hiring a football player who can talk crap all day but has mediocre talent to catch, throw or kick a football, why would that guy be an asset to the sport or any team?
If destiny goes to europe and actually gets good at SC2 instead of just being a big mouth i'm sure a team would give him another shot.

what? I think she acted quite reasonable.
Steven ahs to thank his "friends" for leaking this
Nobody leaked this. That girl had all his passwords and probably spied on his Skype and probably all his other stuff for quite some time and he would never notice since you wont get logged out if another person logs in. She even messaged TT1 while Steven was at the MLG
I truly hope TL bans all threads about Destiny. There's a precedent as all threads about Combat-Ex are always closed down. Destiny drags the forum and the average intelligence of the TL poster down. As a streamer, he's link with SC2 is tenous at best, as it seems he spends the best of his time playing other games and doing random things to please his fandom. He never made a dent in the competitive scene, being just an average player (middle range GM) on the worst ladder in the planet.. But the worst thing, is all the Destiny related threads plunge in stupidity. He uses the same strategy as tabloids, flattering idiocy and prejudice, and pandering to the dominant ideology of his market niche: young white males between 15 and 24 years old and.
For a long time, i didn't really care, as i just don't watch his stream. But from time to time, the forum is bombarded by the fallouts of his activities. And here we go again, discussing about "mah freedum of speech" because of racial slur, trashing a tournament because "my bro Destiny got boycotted" or fighting the "dirty feminist whores" because Destiny got burnt when he tried to be a player with his friends. Whatever willingly or not (and i think he is as his relevancy depends on drama), he drags the TL forum down. Therefore, i'm asking the mods to consider the idea of banning or limiting the threads about Destiny shenanigans.

Yeah they just pander around edgy teenager kids who rebel against their parents right. Instead of I don't know, being good at the game

That is awesome the sponsor backs him like that. I can't believe people email sponsors and shit in the first place. It is crazy how childish people are. Its like the kid in high school that complains to the teacher about some. Teacherrrr he said a bad word. Teacherrr he is being mean to me. BOOO HOOO. It kills me I don't even take part in the community for the most part because of it I just play the game. It sucks man but I agree with Destiny's sponsor "stop bitching, change your tampons and up your game." I don't even know what or who Cloud Nine Labs is but I'm going to go buy something now.
