No it won't. It might hurt Kespa, but GOM will be fine as from what I read korean fans (that watch GSL players anyway) agree with their decision as it's been fairly positive someone said.

I dont think thats a reality, if GOM(ESF) risks that much, it means they are threatened already by Kespa players reputation in Korea. Meaning Kespa already leads in Korea, how long GOM will live by foreign votes?

What are they risking though? Kespa fucked GOM, so ESF fucked Kespa. Considering ESF has been basically supported by the regular paycheck of GSL, the move makes sense. Mr. Chae (and Artosis on a few SOTGs) has gone on record multiple times saying GSL was basically there to fund teams until they could get real sponsors with Code A and Code S paychecks.

What happened was Kespa threw a jab at GOM, and ESF stepped in to tackle them to the ground. Now Kespa has figure out how they're going to get standing again.

Can you tell me what they're risking? Especially when Korean fans are uniformly with the ESF decision?

ESF what are they risking? Their organization along with GOM. Why? Because KESPA doesn't need their players now, they will just offer them bigger paychecks later. Because KESPA has MONEY. KESPA threw a fucking haymaker. ESF slapped them because they have no real influence. Now, KESPA doesn't have to give a shit. One more blow. Snipe all ESF/GOM players ASAP. Why? Cuz dey has money.

They can't snipe them, they signed an agreement not allowing any of the sides to snipe players from the other side until October 2013.

Because OGN is part of Kespa committee that had a say in GSL boycott. They deserve it.

LOL you are pushing it.

Really? source

Read the article. That's exactly what it says.

That does not mean they "deserve it", if you dont understand.

OGN is television, OGN is simply a product, its like saying Microsoft deserves to be burned down because, their sales/resources affected their competitors.

OGN had a say in GSL boycott, so they're getting burned. It seems like they deserved it. Your analogy is way off.

Response is pretty positive. So yeah.

When korean netizens are glad with a decision, You KNOW you did a good decision.

It wouldn't. They don't plan on playing in the OSL already lol. They aren't going to try next season if kespa is still going to ban their players from playing in GSL.

permaban, every single ESF team? i would think that OSL still has more prestige than GSL in korea and korean bw fans greatly outnumber korean sc2 fans. i think ESF has more to lose from getting banned from OSL.

korean bw scene is small compared with the foreign scene.
Foreign scene will boycot KeSPA events/players.

Its a good move, means pressure will be coming from literally everywhere (even Kespa teams and players are confused as to why they can't participate in GSL) to get Kespa to allow players into GSL this season.

Do you know what ASAP means? As soon as possible

Also it isn't like they have to actually listen to the agreement lol. An agreement like this if broken by KESPA only means the agreement is broken. Then, ESF can try to snipe KESPA players (lol). The agreement laws could be different in Korea, but typically if someone doesn't hold up their end of a bargain the other end doesn't have to be held up. In the end it is like shooting a bullet after the cease fire, shit starts up after that

The ESF IS the players... research my good man it is not hard to do, maybe you should try it sometime.

Kespa IS the teams lol. So if kespa says we wont participate in gsl, thats the teams decision. See? It is easy to do the same on the other side, people are just choosing one side and arguing over it.

I agree with Talin on this one.

Plus, the fact that they are withdrawing from a league already on the go is even worse than say they wont participate in advance. Kespa didnt ruin shit, gsl can run as always. Esf let an ongoing league be crippled mid way.

This is my take on it and although most(all?) of you dont seem to agree, Im not going to change it just to be in line with you guys, sorry <3

That remains to be seen. Though I hope MLG will pull the rug out from KeSPA as well to make them and their sponsors really uncomfortable.

Its really cool to see the players supporting the league that built the SC2 scene. There are almost no examples I can think of in sports of anykind where the players throw their support behind a league like this. Props to them. Kespa is obviously posturing and trying to maneuver their way to the top after Gom set the stage, and Gom's treatment and policies of the scene and the players allows for the players to easily abandon their league, but because of the way Gom respects and treats the players, they support the league even though they arent obligated to. I support this move.

How can we as fans let KeSPa know that we want their players to be free? Do they have an English site? Or an email adres?

ESF are the players, ESF is not GOM. ESF is made up by the players and coaches of multiple teams. They made the decision and Nestea announced it.
