Blizzard vs Kespa would be ww1, with the winner being League of Legends (since bw died and sc2 is not living up to its hype). This would be ww2, Kespa Vs ESF. Doesnt matter who wins here, League of Legends get more viewers since Kespa fans are going to spite gom and gsl will still be there but will never again retake the glory of the BW days.

It is easy to do the same on the other side, people are just choosing one side and arguing over it. I agree with Talin on this one. Plus, the fact that they are withdrawing from a league already on the go is even worse than say they wont participate in advance. Kespa didnt ruin shit, gsl can run as always. Esf let an ongoing league be crippled mid way. This is my take on it and although most(all?) of you dont seem to agree, Im not going to change it just to be in line with you guys, sorry <3 Kespa is the team managements. The team has and always will be the players for me, and some of the want to try out for the GSL.

This. Even in Korea, there are plenty of BW fans yes, but not KeSPA fans.

Kespa has the absolute power and the teams have no say in what they can and can't do. I don't know how you can't see the difference.

Yes, he is implying that you can pull unmoral stuff on a party which did the same before without losing the moral high ground. That's at least his personal opinion.

This kinda fucks Kespa, while GSL never really got fucked. (I know it's completely different, but I can't get used to saying ESF after just reading this topic). You are not right. The deal between Gom, Ongamenet, Kespa and Blizzard contained a "paragraph" that stated that Kespa players would be able to participate in any GomTv league if they want to do so and meet the requirements. This was only fair so that both Ongamenet and Gom could have all the best players and build up rivalries over both leagues etc. The Kespa players wanted that a lot as well. So Kespa did not stay on the mutual agreement and the ESF is now in all right to protect their players from too much exposure and stress of a possible triple match schedule from GSL, GSTL and OS2L.

There are almost no examples I can think of in sports of anykind where the players throw their support behind a league like this. Props to them. Kespa is obviously posturing and trying to maneuver their way to the top after Gom set the stage, and Gom's treatment and policies of the scene and the players allows for the players to easily abandon their league, but because of the way Gom respects and treats the players, they support the league even though they arent obligated to. I support this move. I don't think they're doing it just to support GOM, but also just player rights in general - remember the vast majority of eSF players all have experience being under KeSPA so they're probably much more aware of what KeSPA does and does not offer players. It's actually quite a selfless move by the eSF players, they were quite clearly favorites to take the top spots in the OSL, so withdrawing means they are giving up relatively easy money.
