User was warned for this post honestly I agree. I think it looks horrible. Its like a 3 y/o got a hold of the sc2 unit models and some neon play-dough. I always hated this MOD. The problem is that some streamers are using it. It makes SC2 looks just ugly and annoying. I also hoped that Stronger Color Mod will die with 1.5. +1. this is what i feel when watching ESV
So basically, what you guys are saying, is that all color blind people should just gtfo? Because that's what this mod is for. It's for helping disabled people play the game, and there are actually a surprising amount of color blind people casting and playing the game. I get that you guys don't like the look of the mod, but it really helps some people, and if you want to ruin a rather fair number of people's fun (and boot some valuable community members) just for aesthetics, well, that's just wrong.

As much as I want Stronger Colors back, on second thought I'm going to take R1CHs warning much more seriously until Blizzard explicitly says they will not ban for it.

It's nice having it brighter ^^

i would not recommend people using this "mod", it modifies/adds directx.dll and warden MIGHT recognize it as a hack. it doesn't rly matter if jay wilson says it's ok if warden suddenly decides to ban you, because there's no way for blizzard to actually find out if you were using a hack or if you were using this mod.
that said, since all this "mod" does is increasing the digital vibrance of colors, perhaps you should instead do it manually to stay secure, here's an example on how to do it for nvidia users.

easy as that.

Problem is that you stays with these oversaturated srttings alltime, you can't toggle it off. ALso read more info about d3d9.dll file
What the file "d3d9.dll" does:
When Windows loads a program's requested libraries (dll files) it first looks in the EXE file's start up directory, and then the system folders. The real d3d9.dll is stored in "C:\Windows\System32", so by taking advantage of how Windows loads dlls we can place a different d3d9.dll in the game's root directory, that loads custom DirectX rendering code and then references the real d3d9.dll.
The game will see this as a normal Direct3D loading procedure and should not raise any red flags as it does not modify the game's code, read or write its memory (this is how many cheats and hacks work), and does not modify the game's files in any way.
However, ask yourself a few questions.
1) Does it modify any game files? 2) Does it automate any game play? 3) Does it give me an unfair advantage in any way?
Three answers - no, no, no. So it can not be considered as cheat, because: 1) It's a standart dll-library from windows 2) It does not give you any ingame advatange

safety first, suit yourself. modding is against the TOS for a reason.

Or you want to say that editing variables.txt is a modding too?

If yes, then isn't warden detects these files ONLY when they change ingame parameters, like fog of war and something cheating?
it's not a standard file, though. But I don't see RAGE reports at youtube video of Darker D3 that someone has been banned for that. And in Diablo 3 there was a lot ban waves, because many people used bots for auctions and maphacks for game.

some hacks do, yes. some injectional, some external. to answer your quesetion, warden honestly cant tell the difference.

Then why warden do not react to Darker D3 mod for a long time since release? If it detected it some time ago, then at youtube page, where this mod have been presented, someone will write something like "THIS MOD CAUSES BAN! DO NOT USE IT!!, etc etc"
From what I can see, everyone is happy with Darker D3 mod. There are no rage commentaries about bans, what means, that it's more like safe.

When editing game files nothing is exactly safe, but if more people use this the chance to get banned is way lower.

no one said that. but i will. if your color blind and want to play the game use the mod. but dont get mad about people who think it looks like shit to watch. if your color blindness is that bad then you should have a high contrast monitor. not bash people about hating on disabled people.
