This game is NO LONGER RUNNING on the system is says it will run on, printed on the box I purchased day 1 of the HoTS. None of the "fixes" (read hax) work for 50ish% of people and if you run 10.5.8, it seems we are out of luck. The people chiming in to say we should have upgraded are not getting it: the game was advertised and sold saying it would work on my system. I wish I would have noticed their blue post about last of 10.5 support earlier, bc the revolution would have started a month ago This is ridiculous that I cannnot play anymore, online or offline. TLDR: Blizzard said you pay for this game and your system will run it. Blizzard drops support for your system. This is wrong. | ||

Heres how i fixed it: 1. goto ~/Library/Application Support/Blizzard and delete the StarCraft2 folder. (or move it to the desktop if you want to save your replays) 2. goto your StarCraft2 application folder(the one likely to be in the application folder), and open the "launcher.db" file in TextEdit and make sure its says: enGB, enUS, etc.* depending on what region you are in. If the file says "...." or anything else change it accordingly and save the file. 3. Try to launch StarCraft2. *- Note that enGB or other region-codes are case sensitive. Mine worked from there but if you have more problems go ahead and post them and I'll try to help you. | ||

I'm running 10.7.4 and it's not working for me either so this isn't just a "your OS is too old" issue. They broke the game. Evidently even the people who do get the game running, they totally broke command-click (for everyone, it seems). | ||

This is how to change your mouse on laptop or desktop to right click for anyone that is having cmd + click problems. Takes a while to get used to tho. (Went from the depths of bronze to mid master using cmd + click = FUCKING HARD TO GET USED TO  ) | ||

Not sure if that's also broken because I can't even get the game to launch. | ||

So tired of them literally screwing up everytime they do something. I dont know if any of you remember when 1.4 came out, but it made large fights unplayable on mac. I had a 2500 dollar computer with incredibly nice specs and I had to play on low because of blizz failing. Now theres all of these problems. Its so fucking frustrating Also they didnt fix the 1.4 problem for like three months. | ||

I switched to a cheese/all-in style of play until they fixed this because late-game engagements were auto-loss ... by the time they fixed, my macro had gotten so bad. | ||

I can't tell if it's the new patch OR the new patch +mac that's causing some minor issues (slight FPS hits, maps air space not rendering right etc.) | ||

It seems like all major patches have caused some pretty serious breakages on the Mac side of things, they should run some sort of alpha patch testing on the patches outside of their own studios. | ||
