Not the community's fault the game design has fundamental flaws. Hopefully that will change, but I don't have much hope.

These matches should be made with the current version of HotS since it makes most sense to switch from BW to SC2 with a new expansion when everyone has to learn new balance. It would also add more exciting matches than the stupid and scripted Battle Reports Blizzard gave us so far and the commentary would be real instead of faked excitement and explanations for dummies.

Being a pessimist is the better way of life. Either you get pleasantly surprised and proven wrong OR you are proven right. I do share that sentiment.

Elitists are gonna elit. If kespa players which much less experience can win against GSL code b-a players, doesn't that mean that straight mechanics CAN get you far? SHouldn't that prove sc2 is not flawed in that regards?

The game has its HUGE flaws, there is no denying it, but any discussion here is off topic. You can read about them in several threads right now ...

The big question is how the BW pros will adapt their playstyle to the deathball playstyle of SC2 or if they can figure out ways to beat that with a more BW-ish approach.

EDIT: If you bring the "haters gonna hate" meme (in a different shape) you just reveal yourself as a fanboi with no brain or willingness to think or argue your point of view.

Can I ask, have you watched any Code S/Code A GSL content in the last 3 months at all? Deathball versus Deathball is on the way out at the highest level already, and it's should only get better when HotS comes out.

watch any game with the top sc2 players and the person without a ball of units or more likely; a better spread/concave and multi-point harass tactics, will win.

Besides, discussion of skill is irrelevant because it's likely fixed. The point of the show would be defeated if both of the kespa players lost in their first matches, regardless of whether certain members of the community think they should win or not. The chance that it happens would have to be avoided, otherwise it wouldn't even be worth 'revealing' the winning player.

The whole point is to show off the skills of a particular BW pro by them winning and having their ID revealed =P

I could be wrong, and accept if so, but it is at least an undeniable possibility. This entire thing is for entertainment purposes only. It cannot be trusted as evidence for any of your silly arguments.

I like to think Koreans have enough pride not to throw away games on purpose even for a showmatch. I.E. see what happened to Byun and Coca who did pretty much this, and got heavily punished for it.

I do too. I just feel that it's a little counter intuitive to the format of the show. Should be fun anyway though.

shit in your bw forums.

a death ball does not refer to a literal circle of units, it refers to the fact that you can have a composition of high dps units that just "rolls around" and smashes everything in its way.
wat.

Not according to pretty much every conversation about deathballs on team liquid. It's why this conversation always goes hand in hand with ctrl group discussions.

But he is never making short-term prediction, everyone of his prediction are based on fundenmentals, but he doesn't exactly know when it will happen... So using these kind of narrowed "who-is-right" empirical analysis makes little sense.
