So based on an early build before the beta actually starts you're already planning on not buying the game? I play Terran too and tbh I was pretty excited about what I saw for us. I was pretty excited by what I saw for P and Z as well. It's actually looking good.


People are complaining about Terran not getting very much new cool stuff. What they have to realize is that the reason they aren't getting major reworks because they're already a pretty complete race in WoL. Zerg is incomplete and Protoss needs a remake.

That's the most random suggestion I've ever heard. The current late game battlecruiser will find it's place along with a late game terran mech army in HotS for sure. Terran strats like marine tank will not be viable in HOTS, so that micro will be gone. I really hope they don't make terran the new 1a race. Zerg gets finally micro units: the viper, even the lotocus.


You have absolutely no idea what will be viable in HotS. What, it's not viable anymore because in the preview video like 3 vipers, 20 banelings, 30 lings and a good handful of swarm locusts beat like 20 marines and 3 tanks? Clearly imba.

A lot of your Terran brethren were complaining about how much you micro in WOL. Thought you guys, wanted not as micro intensive units.

...Though really not liking the" Auto-Targeting" ability on the Hound things.

wow the battles are pretty long o.o actually the tempest and swarm host seem like good zoning units

still feel like zerg is missing that mass feel

well actually not, since in SC1 they weren't that massy

ling are good enough as mass

but was interesting with hydras at 1 food in BW, roach and hydra are both 2 food in sc2

So if mothership is still in, does that mean that 18 months after they came out and said the archon toilet was broken then did a half assed "fix" for it and failed .. it will still be in the game and just as broken as ever? That was literally the biggest thing I was looking forward to was no more ruined games via vortex/3-4 archons.

Hey, there is plenty of micro here. When your opponent hits one of your warhouns or battle hellions you pull it back. This is like the only micro that exists in their heads. And people swallow it too. Just look at how many Protoss players are using things like pulling back your targeted colossi or zealots as micro intensive. I like to call it... "sc2 micro". We will never get something like Vulture micro again and it hurts me inside.


Marine splitting vs banelings is awesome micro, and every unit should be like this.

Just watched the battle report:
22 range seems way stupid, shooting stuff so far away. The tempest which he built at like minute 5 kept the zerg from getting any minerals. He was on like 100 minerals 2000 gas throughout the game. He died with I dunno 4000 gas or something. These things probably need to be tuned down a bit, the fields over the minerals should have less health probably so 2 spines can kill them somewhat quickly. Maybe they shouldn't cover every mineral patch either.

Don't like that locust can shoot air either.. seems a bit strong since they are "free".

interesting, though another long range air unit for the other races, poor siege tanks i fear we won't be seeing tanks in HotS x3. Spidermines with a 10 second timer won't help tank lines. Siege tank is really on the way out it seems.
But with vikings Battle-hellions and warhounds, mech will look like bio anyway.

I like most of the new stuff now, ZvP seems to make sense like in the video
TvP can't get any worse than WoL I guess so whatever~

But overall I really hope tanks don't suck in HotS. Tanks alone make TvT and TvZ such good matchups. Also Warhound look like the shittiest new unit.

Please THINK before you write!

Terrans complain that other races don't have to micro as hard as them. The SOLLUTION would be to make the other races more micro intensive, not to make terran not micro intensive. Again: please think before you write...

Complaining about Terran micro. You are obviously a troll and trying to be funny right? Terran has to micro far more than toss/zerg in this game. Warhound missle launcher has to be microed unless you leave it on auto-cast which makes it less effective. The protoss units you don't have to micro at all, they are easy peazy, just like in WoL. The zerg units take little micro as well. Your funny whether you meant to be or not, just hilarious.

3 base Toss loses bases left and right and kills a 5 base HotS tech Zerg with pure WoL units.

Man I must say, I don't know if that game showcased the highest level of play or if HotS is balanced and whatnot, but that shit was exciting :D

Everything looks great! Except abduct which is terrible. It has pretty much all of the same problems as neural and I fully expect it will just end up being nerfed into the ground like neural. The swarm host and tempest looked particularly awesome. I'm still not convinced the oracle will be effective but I am interest to try it out.

Yes, marine and stalker control can be very impressive and exciting to watch. But because of shitty game design on Protoss, gateway units is like it is and you don't get the same kind of gateway core army like in BW and use Stalkers and your control like you do with dragoons in BW.

Is there any clarification on whether or not you can see the Widow Mines with a detector? I'm wondering if you could go around with a detector and just pick them off with air units.
