Though i just heard Day[9] in the battle report say that they cast every 25 in-game seconds. So far it still looks weak. In both demo videos (one in the OP and from Blizzcon) they manage to kill a bunker. In the Battle report if teleport wasnt used, retreating or sidestepping the units was effective enough.

The oracle look broken to be honest, if there is no way to prevent it when static defences are forced ie spores then it will be successful everytime.

Oh and 22 range tempest, tbh im not to concerned about that. Yeah its powerful but its expensive.

carrier out, mother ship is out (i think. just the mother ship core is left) thor is kind of out. if im not mistaken the thor is just a hero unit similiar to M ship that you can only have one of. umm, and i think thats it.

swarm hosts things shoot air which seems like it could end up being retardedly broken..
atleast mech will be viable tvp now? maybe?

It would be nice if they reduced the radius of the mineral blocking ability a tiny bit, I do like how it encourages Zerg to have Spores/Spines at every base now.

Should just give the Viper Neural Parasite instead of Abduct, since it can actually fly in and get in range for a good neural.

I really do not like how the Mothership Core can give units energy, really? Would be nice to see an energy cost increase for that ability or maybe a cooldown (if it doesn't have one).

Everything else looked pretty neat, I'm digging it.

Why would you make a unit that you admit won't be useful in high level play... I think Widow Mines could be good if their timer was significantly less (5 seconds maybe?) AND they caused friendly splash. They'd be powerful but the Terran would have to be really careful.

Reapers regenerating health makes no sense. Balance issues aside, WHY do reapers regenerate health? Self regeneration is a zerg flavored ability first of all. If they wanted to make reapers more viable, they could either decrease their build time, or perhaps move their speed upgrade back to barracks tech.

The only other thing that slightly worries me is mass recall, because the ability itself is so powerful, even costing 150 energy and having a 3 minute cooldown.

If it's not already, I think vipers should be moved to Hive tech and abduct be replaced with neural parasite, and infestors given something else to compensate. Zerg having a powerful hive tech spellcaster that harkens back to the defiler would be really interesting.

That's the most random suggestion I've ever heard. The current late game battlecruiser will find it's place along with a late game terran mech army in HotS for sure. Blizzard adds more micro units to terran: rabblerabblerabble why does terran have to micro even more so than every other race now?

Terran strats like marine tank will not be viable in HOTS, so that micro will be gone. I really hope they don't make terran the new 1a race. Zerg gets finally micro units: the viper, even the lotocus.

Never really understood the random Blizzard hate. I mean we're playing a game made by them, excited about players from another game by them coming over to the game we're playing now, watching beta videos of another game made by them, and we're going to be playing that too. If they're "Retarded" as a couple people have said, what does that make all of us for watching the beta videos and such?

Hm. While I like the mine-like ability, I don't think I'm a big fan of it's visualization. The countdown thing over their head is just visually weird. I know LoL has Zilean time bombs that look like that, but that's really what it reminds me of.

Why can't it just be mines that will jump up and run into enemy units and blow up with splash? It's super effective visually and very simple to tell what's going on from a newbie perspective. It's already visually busy if casters keep the healthbars on and little timer things visually blocks more of the units. Basically it's already cluttered and this isn't going to help.

So by giving each race even more effective counter to tanks(protoss long range siege unit, viper abduct, to a lesser extent ultra burrow attack) they are ruining Mech positional play. Instead they decided to add in 2 more units to a mech army, the warhound which functions like a more powerful marauder and the battle hellion which is a less microable version of the normal hellion. Effectivley turning "mech" into a slower more powerful bio ball.

The joy of mech isnt the mechanical unit. its that it's very positional and you ahve to be careful. i dont see that at all

Hey, there is plenty of micro here. When your opponent hits one of your warhouns or battle hellions you pull it back. This is like the only micro that exists in their heads. And people swallow it too. Just look at how many Protoss players are using things like pulling back your targeted colossi or zealots as micro intensive. I like to call it... "sc2 micro". We will never get something like Vulture micro again and it hurts me inside.

Agree with most of this. I wish they had shield regen isntead of energy regen. I think it would be a bit more balanced. 8 Templar with full energy on spawn seems kinda xD.. might as well put amulet back in! :D

It seems like Blizzard is moving away from space control, with Abduct, Mobile Cloaking, and 22 Range Tempest. I also dislike the strong, unstoppable abilities like Entomb (unless you get air to chase down the extremely fast Oracle, they can deny an entire base with one click). Swarm Lord is meh, it just produces slow, strong Zerglings; not that exciting. Mothership Core is interesting, but I'm afraid Mass Recall (along with extra energy with Forcefields) simply allows Protoss to deny their opponent to capitalize on anything. Viper Abduct removes the ability for Protoss to position, and Blinding Cloud seems like either a useless ability (Marines can just move out of it) or a way to remove position control.

Overall, I don't like it. It is simplifying the game by making all territorial control useless. Widow mines might help (because they are so close to Spider Mines), but it seems like everything else is against it.
