You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.

Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence.

Well, after 3.0 there were no hacks for a while. I guess they're back though...

Damn, I already feel stupid paying for LOTV, because Blizzard is still not doing enough to stop the hackers. Just watch a pro stream some games, 1 in 5 games, they accuse someone of hacking........

So Blizzard traded a lifetime of working replays for 2 weeks of cheater-free lotv, nice. Can't say it was worth it :/

It was only a matter of time, just play better than them and hope Blizzard can do something, Hacking in SC has been a problem since BW. Only option is to be gosu bro

I have no idea wtf this is...
The game seems pretty normal, turns into a mech v bio basetrade. I realize he has alot more mining than me so i walk across the map to try to kill him at around the 20:30 mark... and in the replay, he can see my units through the fog of war. Interestingly, not all of them, but he sees them walk across the map. I don't think this is just a bug because he immediately stims up a ramp into my now empty base without scanning or anything. He saw me walk over to defend my starports, but the last time that happened I pulled back to my cc after.

Yep, we lost all of our replays for 2 weeks of freedom.

Nice trade.

blizzard should pay attention to this thread.. and contract some guy to do the reporting and analysing replays... so the banning process could be faster.

This has nothing to do with the new replay format.

Edit: It has to do with switching from MPQ to CASC: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/13645405/warlords-of-draenor™-alpha-testing-begins-4-3-2014

Totally, as it would lay some work from them, and provide the community some backup plan. In CS:GO they have the Overwatch system, where the community can check if a player is hacking through replays, using a downvote system. The same could/should be implemented in Starcraft.

You can deal with that sort of thing using the magic of statistics. You just establish a baseline, make some sort of assumption on how much more often than baseline someone that actually hacks is going to be downvoted, and then only ban those people.

For example, if half the people are idiots that downvote everyone, you do some statistical analysis of the data. You might come to the conclusion that average people will receive ~50% downvotes. You then analyse the variance of the data, and might come to the conclusion that if nothing weird is going on, people usually get below 70% downvotes with a 99% certainty. So you ban people that get downvoted a lot more than that, possibly putting the cutoff at 80%. All of these numbers are pulled out of my ass, the point i want to make is that you can use statistical analysis to solve that kind of problem, you can even set how much you accept punishing innocents over letting guilty people go. Or just how often someone actually needs to get into the system to be judged, possibly one replay isn't even enough for that if you want to be more certain.

There are a lot of ways to analyze data beyond "More than 50% down = Ban". You just need to find those people that get downvoted significantly more than average. Maths can solve a lot of problems if you know how to use it.

Simberto, this will not work and off topic. Voting systems on the Internet are inherently bad and moreso exploitable, thus making a voteban system is extremely unfair to players.

Let's pretend that you beat a person who is extremely salty, let's take Avilo as an example. You beat Avilo, he posts replay, his subscribers vote that you're hacking, you get banned.. Fair?

I agree with evolsiefil on his stance that most people who lose ladder games use "hackers" as an excuse as to why they lost. Numerous factors determine why people lose a game - especially in competitive games. If you refuse to play the blame game and stop throwing accusations out against other players - you will not only raise the respect for those on the ladder system in SC2 but you will also improve your own game by accepting mistakes and correcting them next game.

Personally, I've stopped playing SC2 a while back as I've been thrown the "You're a hacker" accusation once to many times as well as the expected whine and cancer threats after game. Just a bit tired to be honest with the small but growing bad people in SC2 which give it a bad name. And yes - that goes to those people who have posted in this thread with little or bad evidence to backup your claim - Move on with your game, you lost, you're loss is so insignificant and you probably wouldn't remember it in 24 hours, learn from it and play better next time.

I wasn't talking about insta-bans.. if someone receives 2 many reports their replays would be analysed by blizzard .. they just need a dedicated team so they can keep the ladder clean of hackers.

I went over the replay along with [TAComp]Jamileon, neither of us believe he is hacking...

In the early game, Lullaby goes up your ramp with his hellions and reaper only to get slaughtered by your reaper and hellions which out number his. he had no idea that he was outnumbered.

Lullaby is not prepared for your drop at 4:30 and had no units in position to deal with it. Nor did he have units in position for a drop in the main at 10:40.

He was ill prepared for your cloaked banshee around 14minutes and is vastly out of position when you attack his third. He is all the way at your fourth base and counters attack as you guys engage in a base trade scenario.

There was an odd point as to when you two were finishing the base trade and Lullaby erected an enigneering bay. But you base traded with the banshees and you also revealed you had cloak earlier in the game. Seeing as he does look at your army during this base trade, it's fair to assume he expected it.

At no point does Lullaby ever look into the fog of war randomly or at your base to indicate map hacking. In fact, at your point of concern, 20:30, before he ever goes up your base's ramp, he sends a marine to test for tank shots. You see this in ZvZ a lot during ling bane wars as to avoid losing all your lings to one bane.. I don't see this as an odd move considering you were going mech and were fairly tank heavy at this position. He took a safety precaution and that's all there is to that.

[2V1]MicroJackson

Blatantly sends mass pheonixes through fog of war to stop a drop from killing his third expansion. After confronting him, he denied it until I showed him and now he admits to it and say's blizzard wont do anything anyways. Then accuses my partner of hacking.
