You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.
Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence. |

You will just be one tiny fish in the sea, and if you would get caught it doesn't even matter because you are still anonymous.
I can't check right now but I thought when you go to the player profile it shows the character code. If so you just have to screenshot the profile along with the replay. Anonymous you would not be, if that is the case.
Hmm I don't see that, but I do know a way of getting their character code.
1) Add the guy to your friend's list 2) Join/Create a game and start 3) Type /w (guy's name) 4) Read off his character code

You know immediately when they are doing anything. You know when they are expanding. You don't have to waste scans - you can mule instead. You don't have to waste robo timings - in fact, you don't even need to get a friggin' robo if you don't want. It honestly should be one of the most self-explanatory things in the game on how there's an immense difference.
Not really, consistent/better macro will always win

You would be lucky to win 1/50 games against top koreans, even using hacks.

Yeah, you'd know what they were doing but you wouldn't be able to stop it.

I already take games off them on ladder, so please. Nowhere near 50%, or even 33% (in fact, I just got smashed by Byun on ladder no contest), but I've definitely beaten a few different Koreans.

The current GM system is really messed up because there are quite a few selfish/troll people that has 6-10 accounts in Grandmaster League....
So sad that the only way to drop out of Grandmasters League is to accumulate 180 bonus points.

I agree with FabledIntegral in that map hack gives you huge huge advantage that you will be able to know exactly what your opponent is doing, building, and where his units are. It's like you are always 1 step ahead of your opponent, you will eliminate cheese, proxy, and tech builds. Not only strategies but also unit movement, drops, and current economy status.
I think most map hackers are usually protoss/zerg players because Protoss can get easily cheesed and zergs don't want to sacrifice overlords or wants to have perfect timing to make units and perfect timing to stop harassment before those things occur. Imagine when all Terran drops get shut down before it even lands and it just drag into a tier 3 zerg army Broodlords infestor queens. It's just really ez pz roll.

I don't know if that's the case. In my experience a person who cheats does so not because of something like perceived weaknesses or imbalances but because the person wants to be seen as being better than s/he really is and/or hates losing in general... It is an ego thing. Race I think has very little to do with it.

Both Impa and GameofDrone are protoss players :D

Well yes that's true but I mean I question if two people is a significant enough representative sample. I'm not saying it isn't possible; merely that I feel the reasoning is more personal and the benefit big enough for race to not be an issue.

Lol Venusaur is LGlightpwnr. So basically he's gone from adamantly saying that he doesn't hack, to accusing his old team LG of hacking, to threatening to sue people for making a video with evidence of him hacking, to declaring on ladder that he hacks.
Oh what a ride.

I salute you OP for starting this threat. I'm also very pleased to see LG part ways from these stupid hackers.
|
Maybe a bad way to start out here on TL but i actually downloaded the hack OP is talking about and tried it out a few months ago. No, not on ladder so dont freak out but against my mates who i'm usually even versus. This time i got completly smashed every single time by everyone. It was way to much information i felt and my focus was divded. I became a worse player. But in the hands of a pro or someone who actually knows how to play .... well, i could see it help them win games but it takes away everything thats fun and thrilling. Its just boring.
