You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.

Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence.

Which mail adress do you email to Blizzard with proofs of someone hacking?

I still don't understand the point of map hacking for Starcraft II. What kind of advantage does it give over good scouting? Can't you figure out every little thing the enemy player does by good scouting? IE Overlord speed, scans, multiple observers.

If you look at videos of some of the maphacks they do more than just give map vision. They give you access to a production tab, tell you when you're about to be supply blocked, tell you your worker saturation, warn you when your opponent starts making a cloaked unit, all kinds of shit. Plus there's the hacks that micro your units for you. I guess we should stop calling them maphacks, because they basically play the game for you at this point.

Even just having vision of the map is an insane advantage. Using overlords, scans, and observers costs resources and APM. If you don't have to use those then you have a massive heads up on your opponent.

That video analyzing the hacks is pretty crazy. These guys are so damn bad. Honestly, all you have to do and play standard as fuck and go for a timing push. They won't stand a chance. Best Blizzard get rid of them of course.

I think I played a maphacker, ID is CocRetA, this is around mid/low master level EU server

- Made a rax near my main on taldarim
- was watching inside my base around 3:40 without scouting any of the bases
- was watching my reaper leave main/natural
- 23:05: stims his units into my army without seeing my army
- 24:20: reapers to 4th to intercept my drop he never saw
- 26:00: attacks my army without scouting it
- never used a scan in the whole game
- bunch of other stuff

replay can be found here: http://drop.sc/190650

This is what it looks like from a maphacker's point of view:

Thats pretty insane, its basically having all the replay/observer functions but being able to play and react to every situation. Jesus.

Exactly.. a good hacker does not need to look into the fog at all (which is one of the few definitive giveaways)

Impa's hacks would tell him what important units the opponent was building, e.g. banshee's. I am a platinum player, but with these hacks, and a bit of discipline, I am quite sure I could be masters without anyone ever detecting it.

With a hack like the one posted in the video above, how would anyone ever know that the player they are facing is hacking? And if warden can't detect it...how will we ever get rid of these players?

This is very sad

Thanks a ton for that demonstration; having the proof right in your face is really something else. This crap makes me strongly reconsider laddering tonight.

I wonder how many barcode names there is or soon to be on the ladder cheating. Hard to keep track on, you can't be like "oh that guy, I played him before too and I think the maphacked blabalba I saved the replay, here take a look" like there has been in this thread so far. You will just be one tiny fish in the sea, and if you would get caught it doesn't even matter because you are still anonymous.

Sigh, I think map hackers are slightly dumber than drop hackers. The end goal of these hackers are to get in GM league and obtain a super high ranking. Drop hackers > map hackers in that drop hackers need to spend less time to win games and also they can just run their bots to drop hack. However, map hackers are probably low life/no life kids who wants to be famous using hidden advantages and scam lower league players for coaching.

Maphackers/Scammers are the most despicable persons in gaming scene.

I can't check right now but I thought when you go to the player profile it shows the character code. If so you just have to screenshot the profile along with the replay. Anonymous you would not be, if that is the case.

Do you even play the game then? :S. I'm pretty sure I could beat top Koreans regularly if I had a map hack. Think about it.

You don't NEED to use overlords to scout (thus sacking an overlord). You know immediately when they are doing anything. You know when they are expanding. You don't have to waste scans - you can mule instead. You don't have to waste robo timings - in fact, you don't even need to get a friggin' robo if you don't want.

It honestly should be one of the most self-explanatory things in the game on how there's an immense difference.
