Well, it's great. Most of that stuff should obviously have been there long ago. Curious how long this has been done and kept it from us waiting for hots. I love that it will finally be here.... but baffled as to why i didnt already have it.

Believe it or not, Blizzard does not have endless resources. They work in small teams on their games. Time spent on adding these features is time spent away from the next expansion... and this is a company we are talking about. They need to focus on their major releases over support to already released products and this way they can actually hit two flies with one stone, adding great features and releasing the next expansion.

My Jaw literally dropped when I saw the list. Most exciting one for me is the Global Play. Most important for Tournaments is obviously the reconnect. Not clear on what the clan support will be. Man this is awesome.

This is great. If all of this is implemented by HotS, the only major feature we will be missing (IMO) is Bnet tournament support, a la WC3. Unfortunately, this was the one feature I was looking forward to the most  .
But regardless, this is a huge step forward for Bnet 2.0! Now it is almost on par with Bnet 1.0!.

Also, all they need to add in now is to get rid of the fully rendered battlecruiser flying around in the background and strip the menu screen down to where you can have it quietly run in a background window. If they do that and add in good clan support you'll actually be able to use BNet as a social service.

I am sure it will still match you up on your hidden rank. Much like normal play does in LoL. It is less strict but you would not see Bronze vs Masters.

If you don't like it, you don't have to play it. They have to cater to many peoples tastes with the game, and this is an excellent addition in my opinion. (Source: a person who doesn't have ladder fear)
