HUB for upcoming LANs and tournaments with appropriate date/time information for qualifying spots Press Release
"Hello and welcome to the central hub of the CyberActiv Production initiative for the SCII World Championship Series hosted by Blizzard. CyberActiv was mandated by Blizzard to rally up Canada’s grass roots events and share the Canadian Finals spots in a fair and enjoyable way for our fellow Canadians. As part of CyberActiv’s mission, we gladly accepted to help bolster the Canadian eSports scene and make this a fantastic experience for everybody involved. We believe that we came up with a plan that should be fair for everybody.
There will be 2 online and 3 offline LAN events for gamers to qualify at. These 5 tournaments will give between 1 and 2 spots to the winners and will give the top non-qualifying players a second chance at the final, CyberActiv-run, Online Qualifiers for the final 2 spots. These spots, come with a fully paid travel and lodging for the qualified players! Of course, qualified players must be Canadian citizens.
We Hope that our fellow Canadian gamers will appreciate the initiative!" We are finally happy to reveal and announce the important information regarding Canada's qualifier spots for the National Championship and Blizzard World Championship. We have been tasked by Blizzard Entertainment to spread the spots evenly amongst various major Canadian groups that balances both online and offline presences of the participants. The following information, also found on our website, can be summed up by these bullet points:
- There will be 2 online events to qualify for the National Canadian Championships.
- There will be 3 offline LAN events to qualify for the National Canadian Championships.
- A total of 5 tournaments with 8 spots in total will be given out through the period of May
- Top places to those after the qualifying players, will be eligible for CyberActiv's Online Qualifiers for the final 2 spots
- Players who receive a qualifier spot to the Blizzard National Canadian Championships. will have all their travel and lodging accomodations paid
The following organizations are working alongside CyberActiv.ca to both manage the the spots and tournaments: As more information comes out, I'll be updating this thread and keeping you guys up-to-date.
Amongst these organization, 6 out of 8 spots will be awarded to the top players. As mentioned before, those who were amongst the top ranked players in these qualifier tournaments, but did not earn a spot, will earn another chance to qualify in CyberActiv's own online qualifier tournaments where we will have two spots available to award. Who is CyberActiv.ca?

This announcement is not very clear to me, it constantly references the qualifier spots as qualification for the World Championship. Can you explain how these will feed intro presumably a National finals (NASL anyone?) and then the continental finals at MLG Summer championship?
Also can one presume Canada will also have invites for top players as USA has? O.o
|
I read through all this without noticing it was you, torte! I have some questions that might be obvious, is there a place to sign up, is the sign up open? Where are the lans happening exactly?

I'll clarify in the main post.

I'm editing the post. But qualifying spots are for nationals and includes lodging + travel.

I'll get to you in a bit, I must clarify some wording! Yep, it's me :3 I'm helping out, but Charles is the puppet master as well~

How come the USA has 16 slots and Canada has 5? As well as all of the USA Qualifiers were online and free as the Canadian's have 3 in LAN making it almost impossible to qualify unless you can make those 2 qualifiers. Is this fair? I'm not too sure. Not to mention one of the online qualifier sites is in 100% French... Thought it would be better than this, excited but only one chance to win now, rather than 16 or 4.
Could someone please explain to me why there is 3 LAN's? All in the Eastern region too such as: - Quebec - Winnepeg - Ontario I guess there is no community in BC,or Alberta,Saskatchewan.. owait there is.
Don't mean to complain too much but really, was this thought out 100% ? It makes me wonder what the other qualifiers were like. Please explain someone. Looks like be in that one qualifier rather than 5.
PS: When can you start signing up?

The three LANs are happening in Winningpeg, Manitoba by BaseLAN (http://www.allyourbaseonline.com/) Skyzo is doing another in Quebec City on May 27th and the last one is by the Interceptor Group. All dates should be posted via the links and further information will be posted when I get them.

Hello there! Charles, leader of the initiative here at CyberActiv.
I have been working day and most of my nights for the last 3 weeks on this, reaching out to all the communities i know. I've done quite a couple community ccalls too. It is the best representation we could find. LANcouver was actually quite a good candaidate but that sadly was just an itsy bitsy too late! If you know of any communities in the west that would like to work with CyberActiv in future events, tell them to send a holler my way at charles@cyberactiv.ca
We hope that people east of Manitoba will register through our online tournaments as these guys are full on prepared to host you.
Also everyone, as far as signup goes, we will be linking to the signup page as soon as they are ready! Partners are currently making their announcements and signup pages will be made available ASAP! keep your eyes here or on the central hub for details!

Hi Yip12343,
I'm one of the admins for the Team Killing Spree tournament, i'm sorry for the unilingual french site. We're currently working on a bilingual version of our tournament page, everything should be ready at the beginning of this week. Thanks for your interest!

If it's any use or help, I can provide english instructions with images to help orient people as to where to sign-up and how via French/Quebec websites. This should garner to the more English-speaking Canadians as well.
When sign-ups are open, I will do so as soon as possible.

There is a disproportion between Western Canada and Eastern. Eastern has two LANs accomodated to them and Western only has one, so evening out with the limited qualifier spots means West should get two (plus time constraints).

How are we supposed to sign-up for these events when both of the links provided are in French.I guarentee you every Canadian doesn't know French. Would like to know why there was 3 LAN's though, does that apply to all your audiences? Like when you make your business plan/model you should have your target audience, correct?
I know Vancouver and Calgary have two of the biggest clubs for SC2 in Canada if not the world.. Also what makes it "a bit too late" as in you, the main organizer didn't contact them or? Still confused, w/e.. Is it possible at least for the 2 online qualifiers to be in English?

yeah somewhat odd when it comes to distribution, however still looking forward to it

I am leader of SC2QC and i can assure we'll post the information in English. Btw Charles the tournament is not May 12 but May 11 like we discussed many times.
Btw, shouldn't this be in SC2 Tourneys?

Disappointed there's a lack of a LAN qualifier event in Vancouver. It only makes sense as we already host large events with well known names.
Can I inquire what happened on this end of the spectrum?

Sadly LANcouver was 3 weeks too late
Fear not westerners, we didn't forget about you and while LAN events are rare and afew these days in Canada, we will make damn sure that we cover you in all 3 of the online events, particularly in the CyberActiv-run tournament, which details are still in the making, but you can bet on the fact that our goal here is to unify everything.
If you have any particular question that might be more personnal, feel free to DM me

Nice I wish the USA would do this need more local tournaments for just citizens like this to help grow our base. Too bad that won't happen on a bigger scale
|
No Vancouver? Who came up with these qualifiers? Is Winnipeg meant to be the Western qualifier? That is the kind of mistake I would assume someone who had never been to Canada would make. Please end the Eastern bias.
Edit: The Western tournament should have at least been in Calgary. It is pretty unreasonable to expect anyone to travel 27 hours(Google maps estimate) to compete.
|
Net Connect is happy to support Esports by hosting the Toronto LAN.
Good luck to everyone that signs up!
|
Tons of good players in the west. Is there even a starcraft scene in Winnipeg / Saskatchewan (central canada)?
|
Winnipeg is too far for many western Canadians.
|
It looks like the East continues to ignore the west in Canada. What else is new, until they come asking for their equalization payments? Are there even any top level players in MB? Ignoring Alberta and BC is ignoring a LOT of strong Canadian players.
|
If no offline tournament can be arranged then there should be an online tournament exclusive to Western Canada(BC,Alberta and Saskatchewan) for one of the spots. I guess taken from the Winnipeg tournament.
|
to be honest, east has better players + larger population so it's natural to hold the qualifiers + grand finals in eastern Canada. I don't think these are the ONLY qualifiers for WCS Canada

Thanks for the response. I didn't mean for my tone to be so harsh, I was just disappointed. I know it can't be easy to organize all of this and I appreciate all of the hard work. If something can be done thats great but either way I will be looking forward to the final tournament!

Trying to tie distinct groups with established hierarchy to work together over anything is hard. Siliticx's attempt should be commended, even if it doesn't fit into everyone's ideal situation. I hope Vancouver gets a spot, but if not it shouldn't completely override all the prep work Cyberactiv put in making the Canadian Nationals happen.
Remember WCG USA and Canada last year? It could been like that.

Good job to everyone in charge, these events will be big. A big thanks to french team and lan that are giving the information in both languages. Good luck to every participant!

This looks great. I'm glad to see Canada staying involved on Esports. Too bad Western Canada doesn't have a great representation there. I hope we stomp the online qualifiers.

If you're an organizer I'd pretty much guarantee Attero being one of the invites, due to being his past manager. I'd also say Kiwi is not in because he supposedly retired.
Possible invites:
Attero dde DdoRo Drewbie Huk JEcho Ostojiy Scarlett Slush TT1

No idea, but the CSL release said the National Championship bracket will have 32 players, these qualifiers give 8 spots, the CSL is giving 4, so that leaves 20 left to be filled, I would've imagined if it was strictly through qualifiers then both of these organizations would be giving more slots, because 20 left is a lot and I can't really think of that many other organizations that will be keen to run Canadian qualifiers.

I'ts been updated. However SC2QC needs to provide the basic information of the tournament (map-pool, best of series, etc.).

Stepped up? Please. There's plenty of people in Toronto that have been working harder, for longer and could do way better. Anyone could have hosted an event like this with one phone call. A little effort would have been nice for everyone who was looking forward to this especially since we only get one slot (that's hilarious for Toronto). So to answer your question, it's not awesome at all, that's my point.

Interceptor group stepped up to the plate and will be offering a FREE LAN to players. How awesome is that? Stepped up? [/b]
I have no opinion on the matter of who should have done the hosting of the LAN, but I do feel that you can't complain about the number of slots/spots available for Toronto. There are only 8 slots available for all of Canada, everyone is suffering a lot from the small number of spots for an over-qualified country.
Be fair on that point, one is clearly insufficient for Toronto, one of the largest cities in Canada and multi-ethnic in both diversity and skill, but then again, some provinces are getting none and other equally big cities only get one as well.
That being said, I think you are making some other very valid points.
|
Can someone explain why Winnipeg gets more slots than Toronto/MTL?
|
On May 08 2012 03:56 Shiori wrote: Can someone explain why Winnipeg gets more slots than Toronto/MTL?
Because there are 3 surrounding provinces unable to get any slots (Sask, Alberta, BC). As said before, the number of slots makes things majorly lop-sided and difficult.

hmm thx for explaning i kinda wish theres more online qualifiers then. After giving a few slots to some known players.

While outside our Initiative, I know that CSL already announced 4 spots. I can also tell you that there will in fact be 12 already qualified players. These 12 were qualified due to their previous MLG, NASL and IPL achievements. You are free to speculate on that. Players are currently being notified, as far as i know, today, by those 3 organisations.
For the last 8, i'm not in the liberty to say but that information will come AFTER the intiative.
Now that this is settled, take a look at the sick roster for friday! I can honestly say, we've got some kickass canadian players. Keep signing up people! http://binarybeast.com/xSC21205071#participants

Please keep in mind that article was written on Net Connect's opening weekend (when we just threw a bunch of computers in to get the place open).
Since then we've added gaming computers, cleaned the place up and even hosted a few little LANs, wherein the competitors seemed to enjoy themselves.

Seems a little bit stupid that the announcement that baselan was a qualifier for WCS was made less than a week prior to the event..
|
Quite depressing if you don't live anywhere near the live ones, you have to win one of two huge tournaments with players from all over Canada and not just your city. At least there's two other spots for top players who didn't make it... but I have a feeling that tournament will be stacked as hell too. How come US gets so many more spots than Canada?
|
|
Yeah I don't understand why college students should get 4 spots from an online tournament. It should be open to all canadians. It's quite ridiculous to refuse certain canadian players from canadian qualifiers now isn't it?
college students get a chance on 12 spots while non-students get a chance on only 8. Is there something college students have that others don't? I'm pretty sure they're canadian just like the rest of the population of Canada is.

It does seem a bit ridiculous, also doesn't seem like the best way to make sure Canada has the best representation available at the WCS. This whole thing seems a bit of a cluster fuck from an outside perspective, but I really hope that isn't the case and will wait and see how it all pans out..

I've noticed the qualifiers section for Canada on the WCS battle.net page was never updated with these informations. I opened a thread about it on their forums but in one day it's gotten to page 4 and nobody cared about it. Could the information be on there in any way? Not every one comes on teamliquid.
|
yeah it's a shame.gonna try to check with the proper persons. But it's too late for our qualifier but if they could change it for Ks one, it would be nice.
|
People of toronto, you wanted more tournaments, well here's the occasion to prove that the GTA has a vibrant community! The last qualifier to submit the information for their tournament just did so!
Make sure you signup for the Toronto qualifier by going to Interceptor Group's website here : http://www.interceptorgroup.ca/TorontoQualifier.html

We are working hard to make the tournament a great experience for all players. Also we are working towards having prizes for winners, but cannot give the details now, sorry. See you all there and let's get the party started!

WOW I didn't post this here.
BaseLAN winners are LgNKane and zcore! Qualified for the CyberActiv qualifier are xOZergling & OGBuzzbin ! Congratulations!
|
Sadly, BaseLAN's Runner-up, zcore, is Chinese and on a student VISA and isn't eligible for a spot according to Blizzard's rules.
xOZergling will be taking his place at the finals! Congratulations to him! OGBuzzbin will be the only one qualified for CyberActiv's Final Qualifier!
Speaking of which. I have an Announcement of an announcement to make. Here's 1 word : Vancouver. That is all.

Not completely sure, one part says 4, but the total doesn't add up to 32 if that is the case. Someone earlier in the thread said 5 for Canada but IDK.
Edit: Blizzard's site says 16 for USA, so if there will be 32 total then the last 16 is for Canada/Mexico/maybe any central American countries (?). I'm relatively confused when trying to find the exact information, maybe one of the Canadian organizers can clarify.

How big is the Canadian World Championship Series National Finals going to be? 8 player tournament?

pretty sure it'll be at least 32 players

A lot of the best Canadian players have been invited.

BaseLAN in winnipeg last weekend with 50+ people & the SC2QC.COM online qualifier had like 100. The likes of Attero, colRyze, desRow & more. I believe somewhere around 7 or 8 GM were in there.
So far we have :
*****CAnadian Finals spots***** SC2QC Online Qualifier - TD.Attero BaseLAN 23 Qualifiers - LgNKane & xOZergling
*****CyberActiv Second Chance Final Tournament spots***** SC2QC Online Qualifier - NMxFGL BaseLAN 23 Qualifier - OGBuzzbin
******This weekend's tournament****** Saturday - Live - Toronto - Interceptor Group/NetConnect - http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=337928 Sunday - Online - Team Killing Spree - http://binarybeast.com/xSC212050713

BC and the West:
Gentlemen, my name is Roch (Rock) and I am the president of CyberActiv Productions Inc. I am writing to you guys to respond to some criticism I have received about the qualifiers and explain why there are no WCS LAN qualifiers west of Winnipeg this time.
Through our friends @ eSports Canada, we have searched for a few partners out West that could run a LAN qualifier. Most efforts have been focused on Vancouver. One requirement stood in the way: That qualifiers had to be ran before June 5th. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and probably due to the short time frame, we were unable to secure a LAN qualifier out West. I assure you that it is not by lack of trying.
Our friend in BC has reported to us that he was unable to convince community leaders over there (LAN party and Game Centers) to run a LAN qualifier. Reasons being too short of a notice and lack of time. One person did step forward but unfortunately this young and brave soul was a fresh out of high school person with zero experience running tournaments. It seemed to us both like too much of a gamble.
CyberActiv is working very hard in order to create better relationships with community leaders in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan in order to ensure that a situation like this one does not repeat itself. We are also looking for people in the Maritime region who would like to help make every Canadian qualifiers a truly Coast to Coast affair.
All gamers out West who have not had the chance to qualify yet can still take part in the Team KillingSpree online qualifier
Team KillingSpree online qualifier
We are working with Blizz to try to get one more seed for an online tournament that would be reserved to Western players. Stay tuned for that one. CyberActiv WCS
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tristan for his efforts and to also thank our official qualifier partners: Team KillingSpree, Interceptor Group, SkyzoCup, BaseLan and SC2QC.
Lastly, I want to thank you all for your feedback and for being the lifeblood of the Canadian SC2 community!
Your friend and fellow gamer,
Roch Turgeon President CyberActiv.ca

so.. who are the invited players?

Toronto Qualifier completed. Big props to all players who showed up. We witnessed a great amount of skill and a lot of insane matches. Brackets and results will be posted as soon as we will finish processing all the info.
As the result of the tournament Toronto's Nezi will have a spot at the Canadian Nationals. Fuzzy will have another shot for the victory at the CyberActiv Second Chance Final Tournament.
Again thank you to all the players and of course to CyberActiv for managing everything and to amazing and awesome NetConnect for hosting us today.

Hello There folks, Charles here again to simplify and recritfy a few things.
First up, for the BaseLAN qualifier, I mentionned by complete mistake that OGBuzzbin had the Blizzard spot and xOZergling was getting the CyberActiv second chance tournament seed. That is sadly the other way around. I fixed it in the update on page 7.
Now, Congratulations are in order to Nezi for yesterday's win at the Interceptor Group's Qualifier! Fuzzy actually got the cyberactiv second chance tournament's seed.
But now, tonight, in spite of having a great show yesterday, Fuzzy made his way to the finals where he defated NMxTTF, winning him the qualifier to Blizzard's Canadian Finals!. NMxTTF, which I found out during the finals to be TubbyTheFat, forgot to check his PMs on TL 2 weeks prior. TubbyTheFat was awarded a seed at the finals due to his recent MLG accomplishement. Congratulations to both!
Now tho, the Second Chance tourney is now left empty out of 2 slots. What I decided to do is to give these 2 spots to colRyze and vVvHasuu. These 2 players finished 3&4 at tonight's tournament. Seeing as there was no 3rd place finisher and that either one of those could be derserving due to having such a stacked tournament, we will be giving those 2 a cyberactiv second-chance tournament seed. Congrats!
To resume: Now seeded for the finals -TD.Attero -LgNKane -xOZergling -Nezi -Fuzzy
Now seeded for the CyberActiv Second-Chance Tournament : -NMxFaggle -OGBuzzbin -colRyze -vVvHasuu
|
Very happy to see two Team Dynamic players seeded. Well-deserved, congratulations!
|
when will the second chance tourny be?
|
Yours, should be june 3. Details coming in the next new days.
|
Congrats from us to all the qualifiers and those who got seeds to the Final Chance one!
Ryze: GL HF!

You were clealy not looking correctly then. We've been updating this most of the time. The qualif were also on both of blizzard's pages. We were also on twitter, using the #sc2wcs hashtag like everybody else. We also were on reddit and here in sc2tourney section. Hell the CSL had 4 slots reserved to them and were doing their own stuff. If youre talking about esports canada, well they are a different company, obviously they advertise their stuff and not the events they dont make.
I'm sorry but for this year, unless youre in quebec city, the boat has pretty much sailed. And HuK has been qualified since day 1 due to his previous achievements.

Glad to hear my boy Huk qualified. I know the 'boat has sailed' which is why i'm dissappointed. I guess I should of been checking the blizzard pages more often but I never seen anything. As for the a post on reddit and the sc2tourney section here, we both know in that in less then a hour the post can be pushed back to the second page. I was also unaware that of the hashtag being used. All i'm stated is that I know several people that would of played in the LANs in Toronto as well as the online tourneys if they only knew about them. I will have to look out for what CSL is going to do with their 4 slots.
On a side note, we need to have a central place for all sc2 in Canada. It would be alot easier to find out information and tournments would have a higher turn out rate.

When will info be posted for the next qual?

When is the second chance qualifier?

Hello everyone!
Charles here to announce the details of the yesterday's Skyzo qualifier and CyberActiv's Second Chance tournament.
The Skyzo Qualifier
Congratulations to IVNJakeBake! After finishing in 2nd position behind Slush at the Lan ETS earlier this year, JakeBake managed to grab the last open tournament qualifyer slot, leaving Team Killing Spree's very own KsChacal, whhich will have his second chance next sunday!
The CyberActiv Second Chance Qualifier
Next Sunday at 1 PM EDT will mark the final tournament of the initiative. This tournament will pit Canada's 6 closest-to-qualify players. These players were so close to winning their qualifying spots but sadly didn't manage to do it. These 6 players will fight against each other in 2 phases :
1) Pool play : All 6 will fight each other in Best of 3 series. The top 4 will qualify for phase 2. 2) Spots : According to their ranking in phase 1, the top 4 will remain and will fight for the 2 last spots. #1 will fight #4 and #2 will fight against #3. These 2 series will be Best of 5s. The winner of those series will each earn themselves a spot into the Canadian finals!
To make this a completely cross-country experience, i'm trying to reach out to all the community casters through the country to give all of them a chance to be heard! The objective is to unify the scene and give a huge family feeling. If you haven't been contacted by me specifically for this and you are a caster, contact me here by PM, on twitter at @CDesaulniers, by skype at charlesdesaulniers or by email at charles@cyberactiv.ca.
If you know any of the following casters and think you can help, i've been trying to reach them for a while, tell them to contact me too: -Adebisi -LAGTV -Jarett Cale
All in all, this tournament should be enjoyable to watch for everybody and i hope that everyone has fun. After all, it should be pretty high level. Here are the players : -NMxFaggle -OGBuzzbin -colRyze -vVvHasuu -KsChacal -iMpMagic
See you guys on Sunday!
|
Good luck to all, I enjoy Ryze's play a lot. Hopefully Adebisi casts, good guy and caster!
|
Anyone know where to contact iMpMagic?

Hello everyone! Charles here. This day marks the end of the CyberActiv WCS Canadian Qualifiers initiative. We, at CyberActiv, are proud to show Blizzard the immense support you gave us, fellow Canadians. We are proud to show off that this country has a thriving eSports community in it's roots and that we can only grow from here. And we are also proud to have worked with gamers and organisations throughout this beautiful country.
Throughout the last month 2 months, CyberActiv was able to crown 8 up and coming players. These players were able to prove that they are better that their fellow countrymen in 3 LAN events and 3 online competitions. These 8 qualified players have their work cut out for them. They will have to beat international-level players of the like of Huk, Scarlett, jEcho and Drewbie at the Canadian Finals.
Here are your 8 winners and representants : -TD.Attero, from the SC2QC Online Qualifier -LgNKane, from BaseLAN 23 in Winnipeg -xOZergling, from BaseLAN 23 in Winnipeg -Nezi, from the Interceptor Group LAN in Toronto -Fuzzy, from the Team Killing Spree Online qualifier -IVNJakeBake, from the Scyzo Cup Special WCS LAN in QUebec City -colRyze, from the CyberActiv Second Chance Online qualifiers -iMpMagic, from the CyberActiv Second Chance Online qualifiers
Congratulations again to these 8! Make us proud at the National Finals, on July 14-15, at the NASL finals in Toronto. If you happen to see our mugs in Toronto on that weekend, feel free to give us a hand shake! Our totally awesome mugshots are on our site, http://cyberactiv.ca .
To conclude, this initative has been nothing short of amazing for everybody involved. New partnerships were made, new future events were created, new casters were brought forward and a ton of awesome possibilities for eSports were proposed. We look forward with working again with all the eSports Heroes of the country.
For the future! For Canada! And first and foremost, FOR eSPORTS! CyberActiv, Digital Life in Motion. Follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/CyberActivPro and on Facebook at http://facebook.com/CyberActiv
|
See everyone at NASL :B Come say hi!
|
Congrats to all qualifiers and thank you to CyberActiv for running the show!
Nezi, Fuzzy and iMpMagic - was great to see you guys at our Toronto LAN and looking forward meeting everyone at the Finals! Practice hard!
|
CyberActiv is proud to extend the StarCraft 2 World Championship Series Canadian initiative with a late addition! Blizzard was kind enough to provide CyberActiv an additionnal slot for our friends out west. In the last 2 months, we did our best to get a very last spot for the finals(yes, last, we promise!) for the western part of Canada.
It is with great pleasure that CyberActiv announces that LANcouver has been selected as an official qualifier for the WCS Canadian qualifier. June 29 will be the biggest LAN in Vancouver for a while and we felt that they would do an awesome job and we know that they will have a stacked tournament that will prove to the rest of Canada that western starcraft 2 players belong in the Canadian pro scene! This is the best opportunity that BC-based gamers will have to qualify for the WCS Canadian Finals in Toronto. Once again, included in the prize is also travel and lodging, offered by Blizzard!
We can’t wait to see the brackets and players that will participate! We keep hearing that there is so many great players out west and we know that all you need is a chance! Despite having a great showing at the CyberActiv Second Chance qualifier, maybe vVvHasuu will win himself a spot? Maybe a relatively unknown player will earn himself his cinderala’s story.
So if you are a local BC player and want to take your shot, head over to http://www.lancouver.com/ and get your tickets as soon as possible because June 29 is coming and places are limited!

are all 8 winners mentioned above from eastern canada? If so looks like there will be about 3-5 players representing western canada in the entire tournament.

Fursthest winner is from manitoba i believe, albeit 2(3) online qualifiers.
|
Attero moved to Calcary so he's from the West too
|
He'll always be a Montrealer :B!

Yeah i'm still sad he left us for those redneck ...just kidding
