I don't feel he is on the same level as the rest of these players but who knows maybe he will surprise us. also GOOD MAP POOL! Finally a tournament with a good map pool! He may not be, but he's still high level, and they have to invtie some fan favourites, and white-ra is one name that will DEFINATELY attract fans. Espcially with a live audience, having him there signing autographs.

I am guessing that the King in the North, Thorzain is going to be invited too.

Thorzain is a no-brainer too. That leaves four spots - MKP, DRG, and MC are obvious choices for rounding out the Code S Koreans. Naniwa, Grubby, and Sen for rounding out the foreigner big names. Then from the lesser known players, Scarlett and Lucifron? Great stories to be had for each of these players.

I'm not sure about the dates but if this goes along with GSL then you can forget about Naniwa being there. Gurbby and White Ra take the same "player spot" (fan fav protoss) so I don't think we will see Grubby (T.T). Scarlett will never be there, Redbull is too smart to risk anything bad that might turn up from that. Whatever the case I just want to see 2-3 more zergs just to even things up. Idra and DRG are both good players to have like you said and maybe even Sheth.

However, you've said that you will be doing more open, and I just don't want it to be where you had a huge prize pool for an invitational, and then have a relatively smaller conventional tournament. If Red Bull is serious about this (I mean MLG/Dreamhack/GSL serious) then starting off with an invitational is okay, just to introduce people to the Red Bull tournament brand, but I don't want the scene to in a place where this kind of tournament is standard. Also, and I hope I won't be hated for this, but I don't like inviting WhiteRa, as bad as that sounds, I love WhiteRa, but that seems to be the epitome of inviting someone for being a personality rather than for skill, which seems to send the wrong message. Despite this, I'm definitely tuning in, this should be amazing.
