Though I kind of liked the idea of a T3 anti air capital ship that was weak vs ground on Protoss, because it could give the hydra and the viking more roles in vP, creating more strategies and more dynamics. | ||

does he mine them?when yes i would mine the shit out of any third when no he would always have full energy either way this seems very hard to balance around that but the idea is cool.i like it when they want to make the overseer cooler just allow the changeling to burrow move without upgrade like a temp "underseer" with a shorter life like 90sec. and attach them to the overseer so if he is arround he can live forrrever xD | ||

Yeah this is just like the "Oh, corruptors are useless for the most part? Why don't we let them siphon money from enemy buildings" Are you fucking serious? That is the stupidest RTS mechanic I've seen in a long time. I'm really glad they know when to give up on certain ideas but some of the ones they're not backing away from are nearly as bad. | ||

Units that are copies of BW units but still not the good BW unit. More gimmicky stuff that suits more in Red Alert and MOBAs (anti air spider mine? some wacky ass missile that makes mech even worse in TvT, that hook on the viper that is stolen from Pudge from DotA, you just don't need any timing and skill to hit your target, the charge upgrade on Ultralisk that you can find in like any MOBA game). Still no words on the Warpgate mechanic and the worst unit ever Colossus. zzzzzzzzzzz | ||

We force ourselves as starcraft/rts/esports fans to swallow the pill of SC2 but if we remove ourselves from the force feeding and see SC2 as an independant game it's not very good. This is excluding all of the bnet 2.0 failures. Starcraft 2 was hugely successful on hype and hype alone. It was the sequel to one of the most successful PC games in history. It had one of the few gaming communities that has withstood the test of time and championed esports to incredible levels behind it before it ever released. We as a community enamored with starcraft culture have convinced ourselves into accepting SC2 as a great RTS, the next torch for 'esports' rather blindly. I challenge anyone to think this game would be anything other than a medicore RTS title had it not been for the fact it's starcraft's sequel. Perhaps that's an unfair challenge, that it's too hard to remove the culture behind starcraft and the hype built up for the release but I think time will tell. edit; to be clear (and fair) I think SC2 is better than a lot of PC games available, it's just not as good as it should be and the fact that the gameplay (and bnet 2.0) is largely unchanged after 2 years just reiterates my point. lol wut? Hype would not stand the test of time. SC2 did. It has been for 2 years now and it's still going strong in Esport. Gameplay unchanged after 2 years? Are you kidding me? | ||

Also, for zerg I bet they remove burrowed movement banes and possibly ultras diving move. Very underwhelmed by the swarmlord for zerg, vipe sounds promising, but we'll see. I bet abduct (is that the scorpion move?) gets removed as well. Glad they decided to keep overseer, detection without overseer would have been horrible for zerg. | ||

This... is glorious *drools*. And good, I liked the Thor and never liked the idea of Hero Thor. Protoss get an air siege unit?Ummm, how about Buffing the Carrier?_? I also don't think the range upgrade has helped that much against Mutas. I'd rather have the Phoenix get the splash damage ability it had from the previews. And wow, the Viper got a mineral harass ability. Sounds good. More types of Nydus? I will need to see them in action before I comment, I guess it has potential. | ||

It also isn't crippled by marines, which is a big problem with the carriers viability in SC2. A ball of tightly packed marines (or even hydras) just shred interceptors apart, and if you give them enough health to survive that they become OP against everything else. The interceptor just doesn't fit within the SC2 engine with a lot of damage and firepower in tighter formations, BW obviously was different. | ||
