It could be difficult for teams to participate in both leagues at once if a gentleman's agreement is not reached. I'm sure KeSPA will enforce exclusivity with the PL players, and not allow them to compete in any other tournament, anywhere in the world, for any reason.
Dont you think Blizz will do anything against that? Because I think they will.

Yeah, most definitely. It's happened before and they dont want it to happen again.

Having only one company that has pissed them off in the past be the only one who is allowed to broadcast their game in korea would be pretty dumb from a business perspective.

They have a 2 year contract, im pretty sure. They first started broadcasting GSL for sc2 in summer 2010. So somewhere this summer it should run out?

I still dont understand what that would mean for GSL + GOM, not to mention how it would affect SC1..I.E No more GSL or GOM and everyone from SC1 switches to SC2 or...

you're making it seem like blizzard's servers run on little boy's tears somewhere in Africa please show me how blizzard only cares about money and completely ignores ethics, morals, and the community
Because if you really think about it, blizzard has a lot more involvement with the community than a lot of other games they have forums community polls regarding maps, game units and other things they sponsor events, like the GSL they even have blizzcon hell, they even made us wait YEARS for games such as SC2 and Diablo 3 because they are so concerned with getting a really good game out..
so please enlighten me on how blizzard is so evil

However it is expected that negotiations for a Starcraft 2 pro league are going to pick up with Morhaime's visit to Korea. Industry representatives are predicting that there is a high possibility of a Starcraft 2 league starting as the first season of pro league ends and season 2 begins.
Anyway it was bound to happen

Riot Games, LLC. Enough said.
Forums is a necessity for any fucking MMO game, lets get that out of the way. It's a necessary expense. Community polls are cute, but it doesn't cost them anything. If I offered them $100,000.00 to neglect the poll results, they'd do it. They "sponsor" events, in the form of giving GOM a contract and collecting money. They don't "sponsor" events like Dr. Pepper sponsors MLG. Blizzcon was canceled (was that this year?), but normally it's the worlds best marketing toy, and it earns them money. We wait years for SC2 and Diablo 3 because a finished product sells more copies.
They don't care about you, stop pretending they're Jesus, Inc. They care about money. It's not fucking shocking, they are a capitalist business. They're supposed to care about money.

This could be really good for SC2. Let's hope for the best
|
IPL 3= LOL buys in MLG = LOL buys in KOREA = LOL buys in
All because of smart decisions by RIOT. Thats why LoL is so big and proably a better game with HoN isn't.

Fingers crossed this happens. And people speculating about this being the end for Gom TV... I really don't think so.

I can feel with the Force that BW gonna get ditched... Hopefully they run side by side.

People are just scared about history repeating itself.

I don't see why people are saying this means the end of BW. Why in tarnation would Kespa abruptly drop their most popular ESPORTS game after a successful season? Kespa already runs other tournaments with other games. Obviously, the exact format will probably take a little bit to work out, but I imagine OGN will run a SC2 proleague along with its BW one, and perhaps a SC2 OSL along with its BW one. Some teams will get SC2 divisions, perhaps buying out some of GSTL teams. The only question is where GOM fits into this; will GSTL merge with Kespa's proleague? Will they get to be the new BW MSL to OGN's OSL? Only time will tell.
But the end of BW? Man, we've been through this a lot over the last year. BW's doing fine.
