OGN is going HD in 2013 (with help from Riot Korea/German Sponsors)

do you not see the contradictory nature of your statement He is saying that you can always bitch about how bad your team is even though they aren't bad in most cases. In LoL you can throw the blame on somebody else and not care as much about how you as a person play.

They're just removing GOM's exclusive rights, and negotiating a tournament license fee with KeSPA (which they never wanted to pay for brood war in the first place, but are paying for it now). So if anything, it'll just be KeSPA having policies within their tournament only.
Ok so they cant Set rules and policy for the GSL Players only players who wish to play in ProLeague?

Any "pro league" with more than 3 foreigners in the top 30 is no real "pro league" in my opinion. A pro league has the best players. Not some of the best players and some random people.

And the other guy is saying that the term 'bitching' usually implies stress.

I personally love BW but I don't think that it has enough views to be able to compete with LoL but I think what will be really interesting what is going to happen when HotS comes out.

There is no contradiction. When you play a 1v1 game SC, Quake duel w/e, you have only yourself to blame for you loss. That's why you see so much balance whine in this community because people don't like to think that they might be the problem.

Cool, hope to see some BW pros switch over soon if this does happen

Not sure if I should be excited or grab my pitchfork.

I doubt that you can really reach a skill ceiling in this kind of RTS. Who knows, we might see double muta balls. DAT MULTITASKING.
Oh, btw, couldn´t Day[9] just go and get 100k/year? He is so popular, GOM and OGN both would be just so stupid not to take that opportunity.

time for bw players to move on im happy for korea they were stuck in bw because of gom tv rights and kespa holding players

I think Areon misunderstood. "Proleague" means THE proleague, not just a starcraft 2 league.
If you don't know what Proleague is, then it would probably be a good idea to educate yourself on it.

He meant that if you're bad at LoL, you can complain about your teamates and be free of mind. If you lose in a 1v1 sc2 match, it just mean YOU are bad. A lot of people can't accept that. That's why teamgames are a lot more popular than 1v1 online games, people don't like being confronted to the fact that they're bad.

Is there any reason kespa won't do what they previously did (ordering teams to back down from GOM classic) if this goes through? I don't fully understand the relationship between teams and kespa and what it might be in the future of sc2. Anyone?

Do you really think that they were "stuck" in BW?

If OGN gets a sc 2 proleague maybe Gomtv should do a BW team league :D

To see the Blizzard Boss out there and involved is encouraging. +5 kudos

Pitchfork, most likely.
People are just delusional if they're actually convinced that a "KeSPA SC2 Pro League" will result in deluxe codeS++ level of play AND production.
KeSPA is not new to being extremely conservative towards their players, they consider themselves the SUPERIOR BW MASTER RACE and everyone else as inferior, and that'll be the exact same view if they switch to SC2. They won't let players in their SC2 PL to join any other tournaments and they won't let notable SC2 pros join their PL unless they have a pro license AND they're into one of the PL teams.
This will mean a complete and total crack between the GSL and the KeSPA PL, players from the 2 "factions" won't be able to play each other, fanboys will create an even more annoying rivalry between who's got the best lineup (since they cant' face each other, all you can do is speculate).
In the end I think GOM will still have the advantage. They are already very popular, their production is excellent and they are extremely open towards the Foreign scene, for both sponsor partnerships and, more importantly players partnerships.

i would feel fucking terrible for GOM though. even though i don't care so much for sc2, they've done a great job.

How is it contradictory? Bitching about stuff is stress free, otherwise the Blizzard forums would be empty....
Sitting alone vs a real person, that has 2 banshees in your main, while your robo isn't finished ist stress.
