I don't understand how you can blame GSL for all of this. They had everyday of 2012 planned for what match was going to be shown that day. It's neither tournaments fault.

I'm guessing that the Koreans pros thought that they were going to play later on in the week. They didn't know the exact date they would be playing until today.

This is all GSL's fault imo. I don't think MLG should be paying the price. MLG is going to lose a big amount of coverage, and changing flights will cost MLG a lot of extra money too.

I guess I'm glad that the pros are getting taken care of. But lets be real, the extra costs that MLG's accrues from this are going to be dumped on us already paying customers. And they will cite this as another reason to support a terrible PPV ticketing system.

Good job MLG, but I don't understand why this should be a thread on TL and not a press release on MLG. If this is meant to distract from the Gold Member fiasco, well, we'll see how much goodwill a few plane tickets buy you.

I think GSL should have rescheduled the players code A games. MKP plays on the last day, while these 4 play on the first day. Just pull matches from the other days to replace them. Not sure why GSL didn't want to do that as it doesn't really make a difference when the players play to the viewers. It's not like people are going, oh man I can't wait to see MVP play on the first day, instead of the last day like MKP.

Damn that sucks but good move by MLG.
OZ seems like one of the players that would really get loose during a party and have a good time. Maybe it would have been the same for mvp and TheSTC though to, who knows :/

I don't know why the GSL didn't just alter the schedule slightly. The code A matches are being played 4 matches per day on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week, with 7 of the 12 games featuring a player from the next round or code A (on a side note its awesome that of the 12 Koreans at the event 7 are still alive in code A and 3 are guaranteed code S next season already).

In the first day of the next round of code A all the matches feature a player at MLG, couldn't GOM have just moved 4 of the 5 matches where the players aren't playing at MLG into the first day. I mean its great that MLG helped them out so quickly, but they're still going to be exhausted on match day.

Agree that GSL should have rescheduled the affected matches. It's happened before with foreigners when they arrive late. Sad that the 4 players miss out on the post finals celebration.

I don't think it's GSL's fault. I think it's the players' faults for assuming they'd play later in the week. They should have asked or made a request for that.

well if MLG is charging $20 a pop for the well being of the players then it's just a PR move, a good PR move but one none the less. I just remember sundance was telling us that this arena makes it easier on the teams and players and if they had done anything but this then we'd bring out the pitchforks again.

and about them missing the post tournament bullcrap... meh, it's flashy bullcrap that makes esports look authentic but is really pointless. I always turn off the stream right after I see the final GG.
