Greetings TL
How many of you wish you had one of those bad ass TSL Jackets, or even one of those puffy SlayerS jackets? Not because the SlayerS jacket is cool or anything, just because It's fricken SlayerS?
I've noticed a lack in willingness in most pro level teams to want to sell team gear ( and I don't mean standard t-shirts/mouse pads etc)
I would kill for a TSL Jacket for numerous reasons. It just looks totally badass, It's starcraft related and my favorite player rocks it (polt)
I would personally pay out the wazoo for one of them.
Most teams aren't willing to sell team jackets/jerseys which is quite a shame. I think it's a market that is completely underdeveloped.
A few teams are selling Jackets and other apparel already which is great (I'm looking at you Quanitc Fnatic Dignitas and EG) but honestly, aside from Quantic none of the team apparel gear really looks that great for NA or EU teams.
I'm sorry but a sweater, no matter how many logos you put on it just doesn't look quite as good as say...this.

This is the kind of gear I LOVE as a gamer and I'd pay out the ass for it.
As I stated early Quantic is already selling what I would say is pretty decent team gear for a NA team (pictured below, Quantics jacket)

Now, let's take it one step further and look at BroodWar gaming Jackets.
Featured below is Cj Entus. Total badass looking right?

Now let's compare that to what most teams offer.
While still a good product (anything team related is A-okay in my book) I wouldn't pay top dollar for these.

(Okay SelecT is wearing it so he totally makes it look badass, so picture anyone else in it instead)
Do in conclusion, I'm really stating that while the products we have available to us right now are "good" , most of them are not "great". I think this is a completely unexplored market and something that I think a lot of teams would benefit from economy wise.

Again, this is only my personal opinion and I do not mean to offend any team that I've mentioned above, I love all of them.

i don't know man, i don't even buy soccer uniforms because i think it`s just wrong to pay an absurd price and walk around looking like an outdoor full of companies logos.
my personal favorite is the quantic one, looks clean with a relative small razer logo.
now compare the quantic gear with the dignitas one, that one huge intel logo, in my opnion it`s a disrespect with someone who buys for personal use (otherwise, it`s fine for official use imo).

I am a fan of hoodies and I hate the fashionable korean wear, so I'd say I'm fine, but diversity is fun to let everyone get what they want so went with that option really.

I think that the black Prime hoodie looks better than any other team's uniform. If I had the money to spare, I'd definitely pay however much it costs for it.

Yes, I think certain gear looks better than others.
Also, you know what? I'm proud to be a giant nerd and if that means wearing a Dignitas hoodie outside rather than my normal hoodie, I'd definitely pick the Dignitas one. The same reason why people wear specific brands, because they like the style of the clothes they produce and what they represent in some cases (such as this.)

The funny thing about gaming team apparel is the fact that you're essentially paying money to be a walking billboard and advertise for the sponsors when pretty much all logic would dictate that it should be the other way around.
It's different than with sports teams where if you buy a Yankees jacket, it's just a Yankees logo. When I wear my EG shirt out, I'm essentially advertising for Intel, Monster, Kingston HyperX, etc.

I like the idea of teams having more stuff available. More opportunity for them to capitalize on their market would benefit them. I personally would be more likely to buy a screen T or a hoodie than a nice jacket but I'm pretty sure the market exists for them.

Oh to get EG hoodie or SlayerS puffy jacket. I would be willing to pay up to 100 EUR for SlayerS jacket. Atleast TL sells their shirts and that is sooo awesome!

Yeah I was actually working with a startup company trying to do this exact thing but in an attempt to grow it the founder sold to a larger clothing organization who promised to keep the current team members in place and just bring us under their umbrella of products. Unforunately when they bought us out they edged all existing members out and they haven't done shit with it since.
We did Team Reign's jersey (and a Hoody/Pants were on the way R.I.P. Team Reign), MVP's jersey, Quantic's jersey (which they unforunately didn't get to wear due to manufacturer issues before we were shut down) and were working with a lot of other teams on designs like Complexity and vVv. The plan was to do exactly this though, we design the jerseys and stuff for the team and then would sell them online for all to enjoy and rep their favorite teams (the teams got a cut of sales too of course). But alas, the assholes that shut us down never gave us the chance to do it and apparently don't intend to do it themselves either. *sigh*

I already have a Dignitas hoodie, because of SeleCT. I'd buy the shit out of SlayerS stuff, if they could sell and ship at a reasonable price (unlikely).
I'd like to see more variety sure, but unless the price is affordable then I doubt many people will actually buy

IMO, the korean SC2 teams wear gear that is similar to pro BW teams, sometimes I see them in bubble jackets ;-P

I would too, as long as it was of high quality.
Nothing irks me more than buy a generic sweatshirt with a team name, only to find out you can buy the unprinted one for 10% of the price. I understand they mark up the price because it's team gear but that doesn't mean you should skimp on quality.

The real problem is there is a severely limited demand for the stuff and not only that but as you already pointed out. Most of the stuff out there I would never catch myself wearing ever. Still waiting on the nice stuff like we had in BW when it comes to team jerseys and all that jazz. Even then it came from the likes of lilsusie to get us that stuff.
So with the limited demand and with the quality production I would expect. It's asking a little much.

I love team gear. I've got a couple of TL shirts (and would have more if I had enough money), and I'd love to get my hands on some Korean teams stuff.
I'm more interested in clothing than special edition mice etc. as I am already happy with my mouse/mousemat/keyboard/headset.

The jackets would be so amazing to buy. SlayerS, SKT, etc. ...
But for now, I guess I can only buy the occasional shirt (TL, EG, etc.). I'd much rather have a flashy jacket though.

First off kiddies, there is a Team Liquid hoodie in the works. And it's SO nice. I'll be picking one up probably.
I think Mouz has a really nice uniform in the polo. And even though I'm only really a fan of Axslav, Infinity Seven has really cool jackets too. And I also thought that the Dignitas hoodie was amazing.

I think for instance if EG had a jacket in the style of the BW teams, it would look really sick and I think it would show the sponsors better than the hoodie they currently have. But the hoodie is also so that people would buy it, because a hoodie is really practical so they think more people will buy it. But if they designed a sick uniform like a BW team, a lot of people would buy it.

My only problem is I don't like wearing sponsors names all over my clothing. I would love to have branded clothing for certain teams, but only if it isn't plastered in ads like they tend to be now.

But you are not really advertising for the sponsors, do you? I mean it's quite different if a pro player - who you might like - wears such a jacket or if you do. I have an EG Jersey and a Dignitas Hoodie and I don't think that people now want to buy Steelseries or Razer products just because some random guy wears logos of them on his appearel.

I just wish teams had actual uniforms. The TL hoodie looks sweet when it finally is finished and comes out. But...that's just fan stuff. I want Oz jacket player uniform gear in sc2.
