No one is forcing you to buy this, but the hate towards it just because you want to save a few more pennies is wrong. I'm not rich, I work paycheck to paycheck and I get buy. If this was every week mlg had a event and it was 20$ a weekend 52 times a year then I would see a problem but its a special thing once every couple months and I can justify 20$ here and there for the amount of footage I will be getting for free. | ||

No, you paid for a years access to all the championship events, when you bought gold, you had no idea about the arenas - and you were perfectly happy with it. You didnt complain that there were no arenas, or that there wasnt enough content for your money (else you wouldnt have bought, surely?). So when MLG brings out something new and extra, why should they give it for free to gold league people? I underdstand they mishandled the whole thing and their communication was terrible, but from a business side of things, its a brand new product. If you get a newspaper delivered every sunday, then that newspaper suddenly becomes 7 days a week not just on sundays, you dont automatically get all 7 days for the same price, JUST because you had the Sunday one before. | ||

Because they promised to gold members they could watch every event in the pro circuit in HQ. It doesn't matter if you add a new tournament later to the pro circuit ad then don't give gold members HQ but if you do it that way you shouldn't advertise that you will. | ||

You can say that shit, but it's been marketed as part of MLG. I am sure they are perfectly able to legally do this, doesn't change the fact that I feel entitled to get what I thought I paid for - and that someone who disappoints me, will not get more money from me. (I bought MLG gold, IGN prime, every GSL, NASL season 1 (but not the others), and I don't mind paying for what I want. I do however think that I should get what I paid for). Also, the analogy would be: - You subscribe to a newspaper and get it 7 days a week. - Suddenly they change it to 6 days a week, and that you have to pay extra to get the sunday paper that's 'weekend special' but really have much of the same type of content. I am sure it's legal. But you get a lot of dissatisfied customers either way. And I paid for access to HQ streams for every MLG event, and this is an MLG event, so I paid for HQ stream access to this. That's how I feel, and you or MLG arguing that this is a 'new' event or something - but still part of MLG, doesn't change my opinion of that. | ||

Almost every tournament going these days has a free LQ stream at the very least. So this big PPV tournament is a first in the SC2 community and it isn't going to stick and be successful while other tournaments are "undercutting" it. Especially with big competition on the same weekend. Imagine if a cinema opened where every film is free and they make up the cost with adverts ? It would cause a shit storm because the standard market in cinema is a $10 entry fee. MLG are doing this but the other way around. Although I think making money is a good idea, this decision is too radical and too big of a step for the current outlook. | ||

This is mathematical bullshit. So when you go eat to an "all you can eat" restaurant, its 0 dollar per hamburger, because (theoretically) you can eat an infinity of them? Then you guys should know what to do with your 20 bucks.. Its 20 dollars for 1 WEEKEND of sc2, nothing more, nothing less. A weekend in which you can/probably plan to do other stuff then watching Starcraft 3 days a row all day long. Just please stop saying its 1 dollar per hour, because, at least for 90% of us, its not. | ||
