Would you suggest always getting overlord speed to combat greedy expands or do you just rally slow overlords there?

I've found that when playing mutas, you try to play very reactive in terms of army creation and baneling morphing. Whereas when it comes to infestors, it's better to have a standing army so you can crush your opponent's army before they can get into a really good position. One of the very common elements of my losses versus Terran would be me going ling/infestor and getting caught in that weak position where I'm teching to hive and my opponent gets a nice position and sits there while expanding. I'm on usually 4 base and my standing army cannot cost-effectively defeat his. Also, in this specific situation, it's really hard to deny bases when you don't have a pack of mutas to fly around denying bases. Would you suggest always getting overlord speed to combat greedy expands or do you just rally slow overlords there? When doing infestor styles in ZvT, it is very difficult for the terran player to engage an army of infestors/lings/banelings, unless they have pure bio (mass medivacs with marines and marauders). This means that most engagements that you lose to, when they have seige tanks, is due to the position they manage to get in. So, there are a few tricks terran players have to ensure this position, vs infestor play. The obvious one is to drop at a far location. If they zerg player sends his whole army to stop the drop, then u have now enabled yourself (as the terran player) to walk across the map and seige up in a key location without getting fungaled. Just as it is impossible to attack into infestors, it is impossible to attack into tanks cost efficiently. So, as the zerg player, you will find that the key to ling/infestor play is to constantly be moving around the map with your army. If the terran player is caught unseiged, a single fungal and ling surround will kill off half his army pretty easily, especially if you have baneling support. Do not send your entire army to deal with 1 drop, and do not give up xel'naga watch towers when u have mass lings and infestors, and he has seige tanks and bio! Also, if you are not aware of wehre the terrans army is at all times, you are not being active enough! There is no weak position going into hive tech with infestors. Infestors were made to play defensively. Placing up a ton of spines while going into broodlord tech is viable, but make sure you can afford it (are you on 80+ drones?). I'm sure that if you review your replays, you will notice taht you've already gotten behind previously to the attack, or simply put, he managed to get into a seiged position too close to one of your bases. Either that or, you are not larva injecting enough and are running out of larva, banking 2k minerals etc.

If your overlord is able to block his 3rd exspansion, it is usually becasue the 3rd is very late anyways. Beyond that, there is nothing wrong wiht getting overlord speed, as past the 10 minute mark in sc2, 100 gas isn't going to win or lose you the game. I just do not see the point, for most reasons why people don't spot a drop is becasue they are not loking at their minimap anyways. For example, a very high apm player would react the same to a drop taht he spots the minute it touches the edge of the base, whereas a slower player will miss the drop even if he has an overlord situated beside the terran's starport. As for overlords in generally, I have seen many korean zergs get drop to utilize their lings more effectively in the mid and late game. On maps like shakuras, dropping ultralisks into the main in the late game is also a strong tactic.
