Or, if it's already in production, I haven't been able to find any info about it.
Any information about this would be greatly appreciated!
I've already suggested to them. The anwser was pretty logical. They wouldn't do it, at least not for every maps. For a few maps perhaps I don't remember the complete anwser The problem is that it'd require 2 men to have a lot of same time at the same time.

Hi guys. First of all I love this mod, it is a very faithful remaster of the original starcraft campaign and it really flooded me with nostalgia the first time I played it.
The only thing I could point out is, at least for the standard version, do incorporate more SCII content into it. Like Kerrigan's attack and skills (who wouldn't want to use her ranged attacks and powers in the last mission of WoL?), Using the SCII carrier model and having the battlecruiser fire rapidly instead of a single laser shot at a time? I think those things could just be included in the retro version for the really heavy nostalgia seeking players. As for me I wanted to replay the campaign under the innovations and revisions of SCII.
Aside from that, really well done and I can't wait to play the next update with the content incorporated from LotV.

I'm having a lot of fun with the mod. I have a few issues not sure if they are known or if I'm one of the few people who is experiencing them:
Cursor disappears at the victory screen after the last mission in the original Protoss campaign. I had to move my mouse around randomly and constantly clicking to eventually hit the continue button.
No Zerg information is shown (like supply) if you mind control a drone to build a Zerg army in the last mission in the BW Protoss campaign, plus it seems like you don't even get minerals that drones harvest, although you do get gas.

hi guys. im probably and idiot for asking this but how to i fix the problem were it keeps saying "unable to open maps" i have the installer in place and have the map packs 1 and 2 in the sc2 folder, extras are also in there. is there a step im missing?
|
i also have the retro mod thingy (i dont do mods often if you cant tell)
|
I've been editing some things on the maps to suit my taste (mostly my recommendations above in my previous post). Can you guys or anyone here teach me how to set the battlecruiser's and torrasque's attack to how it was in Starcraft 2? I'm all out of ideas in tinkering with its weapons.

Does 6.0 will use LoTV assets?
|
Just a heads up to the Dev team in case they didn't bother picking up Nova Covert Ops, I don't know if they included an SC2 model of the Defiler for the Zerg or if we've been running a custom model for both it and Dark Swarm but NCO has one with a DS effect.

So after a long time I finally reinstalled StarCraft II (up to Heart of the Swarm) and also reinstalled this mod, which I've played before and love. When I try to boot it up it tells me that it can't find an Heart of the Swarm license... What gives?
|
Anyone else getting bugged sound and briefings with the new patch?
|
So let me see if I get this. - I used the installer but the installer didn't create a shortcut. - When I boot the campaign launcher it says I do not have a Heart of the Swarm license and it fails to load two objects. - I still manage to boot it up but on exiting it goes back to normal StarCraft II screen. Is this normal? - Also, is there a way to simply have a .exe file which will boot Mass Recall upon clicking it? I just want to add it on Steam for convenience.

Did the new patch break this? Every time I try to start a mission it just brings me to the Battle.net login screen and says I have to play offline since it is an older version of SC2. That's fine, but then I load the mission and it just brings me back to the login screen...

I'm completely new to SC:MR and registered to give some feedback. First of all: I've seen a few videos before downloading and this looks completely amazing. Thank you, SC:MR team, so much for all your hard work. to chime in with a few other people on this thread: I definitely would have spent money on this.
To give some quick feedback to ClysmiC: I've had no problems whatsoever. I had WoL and HotS installed, updated to current version and then installed SC:MR with the automated installer. Everything seems to work fine (at least regarding starting the program and missions)
But I did find a bug. I'm currently playing Loomings and when I got to Mission 5 (Force of Arms), first of all, I didn't get any briefing, the mission started instantly. The whole map was very dark (I'd compare it to nighttime in WoL's Outbreak, but maybe even a bit darker) and when I destroyed the Zerg, the mission didn't end. I looked around for any building I might have missed and explored the whole map with a couple of Wraiths, but couldn't find anything. Seems like a couple of triggers are broken.
And one final question for the team: Will you update the mod with models from LotV in the future? And if you do, would the mod be still playable with only WoL and HotS? (I'm still waiting for LotV to get a bit cheaper...)

Just a quick message to let you know that yes, patch 3.2 did break things. mp3 files don't work anymore, we are waiting to see if that's something Blizzard fixes with the next patch. I run into some "Dependencies not found" when I start the editor, but closing the map (while leaving the editor open) and re-loading the map fixes the issue. It would inconvenient to do a quick fix since our current version of the mod is work in progress, but we will do that in a week or two if not bug-fixing patch comes out.
Version 6.0 should be out this summer, it will include some Legacy of the Void and Nova DLC models. And lots of other things. Blizzard has made all editor content available whatever your version of the game, so Mass Recall won't need Legacy of the Void. It may or may not work with the Free version, I've read contradictory statements and I'd have to uninstall SC2 to check.
Anyone who finds a high resolution version of the loading screen of the third Nova mission (or tells me where to find me) would earn my gratitude.
Cheers!

I suggest you request in on starcraft reddit, as i was able to find the lotv loading screens there, so one of them clearly knows how to do it.
Or you can extract it directly from the mission perhaps?
Also, how much mp3 files did you guys use? Because either many or not, the converting itself is not that difficult [though, will result in loss in quality, unless you have lossless sound files, like flac, wav, aif, etc]

Mp3 files will be fixed by Blizzard, according to a post on sc2mapster forums. Just a little patience then.
I got the loading screen.

"Using the SCII carrier model and having the battlecruiser fire rapidly instead of a single laser shot at a time?"
Eh, the SC2 carrier model looks nothing like the original and it seems to be a case of it being a new model in the lore, so it wouldn't make sense.
The Retro mod is supposed to be mostly an aesthetic change to look and sound more like SC1, I imagine that's why the rapid fire BCs are not used in either.

All you have to do is reset the unit's to whatever the original values are (like WoL or HotS)by fiddling around with right click.

can i get a link to the latest version? I don't have the patience to work backward through 77 pages.
