I think he is talking about the vs armored nerf ( from 60 to 50). This is the one that makes marauders Godly and near impposible to mech TvP. The vs light nerf was fair imo.

Nervous about the cheap upgrades.

IIRC the nerf was from 60 to 35 with + 15 to armoured

Yeah they did. That was OP for sure. But after they nerfed them from (60/60 to 50/50) they also nerfed them to (50/35). Some people think they should have reverted to 60 vs armored after the second nerf (60/35) Hope that makes sense :p

Marines are light units. Honestly i dont see tanks doing more damage to light being a game breaker in TvZ, you already 1shot zerglings and hydralisks are not exactly useful vs tanks, unless you mean the splash radius?


For TvP i completely agree though


In your video the marines don't even have combat shield or stim and they aren't micro'd...I really don't understand the point of that video. Stim + micro could take those tanks out. I agree it was less of an issue TvZ.




If Stim and Micro would have won that battle, the game would be broken.


I'm fairly confident I could kill those tanks if the marines had stim and shields. So the game is broken then? But wait, that would imply marines are OP not tanks...

edit: I'd go so far as to say most masters terran could kill those 19 tanks with 200+ stimmed marines

As others have said, TvP just feels horrible in general. It's hard to put my finger on why, but I think the issue is the Marauder and, of less importance, the Colossus being horrible units to play with and against.

I absolutely recognise the need to balance the game at the pro level and never suggested anything different.

Oh yeah of course. I actually agree, tanks feel pretty underwhelming in SC2. 60 to armoured would be a cool change. Hell make it to 70 and make tanks the imba POS unit they were in BW

Only good change is the ghost emp. The upgrade changes are going to make getting upgrades so much easier for protoss, who already have it easy with chronoboost. Especially when almost no protoss uses chronoboost past the first 10 minutes.

I don't really think getting 2nd upgrades 25/25 cheaper will really influence much.

well to be fair, the big thing about upgrade is the time, not the price, I don't see too much problem with the upgrades
