Yes, because it means you can only hit 11.5 maximum now instead of 12. Range of casting+ radius = Range of effect. | ||

If I'm not wrong, the reduction in radius range would mean that the AOE of 1 EMP would be reduced by 44%. It would also mean a slight range nerf by 0.5, not really a big deal. The upgrades cost being reduced is quite unexpected. I don't recall any complaints about it and it seems like a broad change that would be hard to quantify. I would prefer it if there were a snipe nerf on ghosts, since Terrans like TaeJa and Bomber are managing to snipe off high templars so efficiently. Well, it's definitely a change in the right direction and I'm overall really excited to see the TvPs in Code S next season. | ||

I always thought the problem with the ups was the scaling... not actually getting the ups though I guess Bliz is nudging us this way. Shields will still be crap. Not just because of the costs, but because everything just melts to emp. If shields offered some % reduction on emp effectiveness... (ofc archons and carriers could become an issue again?) The Emp radius was much much muuuch needed. Still think Bliz is going to have to go back and get Khadaryin back in the game (65 enery or somesuch) and possibly even HT movement speed before Toss will be even in the late game. edit: The upgrades balance out because the toss army uses so much more gas than the Terran so it's much harder for Toss to incorporate upgrades into a neat build than for terran to drop double engies. | ||
