You can't use it to defend expos as the workers will stop it working.
You seem to think that Terran are going to have 10 of these straight away too. They'll probably need an armory to get and also won't be that useful unless you're going mech.
They seem valuable enough that terran will be sure to get them. No, they won't have 10 straight away, but they'll invest in them. Standard marine/tank players get an armory for +1 on their mech, why not get the shredder for some map control as well?
If you place it in a choke, units won't interfere with it. Unless buildings also disable it, but even then, there are ways to place your buildings that would allow it to still work well.
Yes warp prism harrasment is good, but this could be borderline op. Make harras so much easier (esp with other units we got) and could strenghten our 'ball' with healing capabilities.
Warhound just makes me sad... a mech marauder with antiair, ok i guess but the design is just awful would be better to call it goliath with armorpiercing shells or something.
the shredder looks like the worst thing ever. Tactically its used to stop countering. It also looks really strong. I dont want to make any assumptions before the game is released tho. Blizzard is gonna be going back and forth on balance the whole time before its release.

The shredder isn't a bad unit either. Good unit with a pf/turret to defend 3/4/5 bases.
Also. Drop a shredder into the minderal line----- This shit would suck and depending on how fast the shredder starts its aoe could be better than marine/rauder drops vs workers.

Well to be fair, those roaches were shooting the shredder without it damaging them before the marines "baited" the roaches in.

I'm normally not so quick on making strong statements...but this has to be the most overpowered unit/skill I've ever seen. Pro-gamers will find ways to make expansions nearly impenetrable

It may not, but i could swear in 2v2 medivacks healed gw units.
So they started off by talking about the numbers in StarCraft. Worldwide, spread between all leagues the game is fairly balanced. Every matchup is only diverting by 1-2%.
Then they cut out every league except Master and Grandmaster League. Things looked a little different then.
TvZ: Balanced.
TvP: Fine, except in Korea. (10-12% in favor of terran in Korea)
ZvP: Fine, except in Europe. (10-12% in favor of zerg in Europe)
Most everyone try to to copy what the pros are doing on their streams/tournament so if they are struggling, everyone else is struggling. Minimum emphasis should be placed in what's happening at the bronze/silver league as well. The numbers are literally screaming at them PROTOSS IS HARD TO PLAY.
I initially liked the changes too protoss and terran but the more I think about it the more my opinion changes.
I know all these units will probably still change a lot, but after watching the video the new protoss units just look awful.
The replicant is insanely expensive for a mediocre unit that costs 4(lolwut) supply.
The Oracle has some nice uses but won't make much of an impact, the harass ability is just plain bad since stopping mining for a while doesn't change the game, killing workers does. The only use I see for this unit is to make double stargate openers in PvZ overpowered, void ray + oracle, sup all ur spores are stunned.
The tempest has some very limited uses so I don't know how useful it will actually be, it seems to kill a lot of air units quite fast when you have about 4-5 tempests which could be nice to kill corrupters and vikings in ur deathball. The mass muta example was just stupid, I dunno about you guys but that situation might happen once every 5000 PvZ's.
Terran: I don't have much problems with the warhound(?) and battle hellion since they don't seem OP and are probably good for fixing some things.
But the shredder seems really strange cuz of it's insane dmg. So u build an expansion, put 1-2 shredders at the ramp out of range of ur own stuff and ur expansion can't be touched by any harass? will 100% be changed.

It looks like a expensive spidermine that doesn't work if your units are near it. How is that overpowered? To make up for that it's not a one time use thing and takes up production time.
I'm not Protoss and I still feel they got the short end of the stick. A harass caster that can't kill workers, AoE A2A when Phoenixes already slaughter mutas, a unit that can copy other race's units because they're much better than Protoss units. Bah.

It doesn't take that long to tech to something like a Ghost Academy to make your own Nukes >:D
Seriously replicate svc->build orbital for nice advantage right away-> get ghosts ASAP takes only a few minutes-> EMP their ghosts and medivacs -> own them with FF and storms+colossi

good thing cc and orbitals can lift so i can build it anywhere safely, good thing mules pay for everything i did to get it itself wherever it is, good thing an academy only costs 150/50 (same gas as astalker whooohoo), good thing it only requires 1 rax to build too, and the very best part of all? at 100 gas per ghost it won't compete too much with all my good units. thx blizzard
