They get rid of the iconic carrier only to replace it with a new unit that does exactly the same thing... Why couldn't they just keep the carrier and make the changes to it?
How is the tempest the same as a carrier? It does an AOE attack, and the carrier never did. I think the tempest is kind of poorly designed (it throws a ball!), but I don't debate that Toss needed AOE anti-air. It will be great against vikings too, assuming it can get close enough.
Nah, it will probably be kited.

In SC2, all races share the same 200 supply. Hello neural parasite techers.

Well the shredder has 4 range, siege tanks have 13, so if you place with one range to spare, only ground units with more than 8 range will be able to attack the shredder. I do think the shredder needs a ramp up time in addition to siege time though, so that if somebody wants to set up a shredder contain, you have a short period to engage in which your army takes reduced damage. I think Blizzard does want to bring back mech, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

i would guess to use the same openers ( either 2 rax marine/bunker pressure or reactor hellion expand ) then go into mass mech ( the new goliaths/siege tanks and a few shredders) with a starport added in late game for ravens with seekers and to detect the burrowed moving banelings. Dont even bother with marine tank, that shit is out the window

Another interesting strategy I could see is Oracle DT. Phase out your opponents detecting buildings and inflict damage with DTs.

Replicant & Viper aren't in SC2 metagame. Jesus people, you havent even seeen a game played yet. The game isnt even out yet... there WILL be a beta. They added many units that will raise the skill ceiling. Move on, BW is not going to happen and if you cant back this as an ESPORT what the hell can you support? Agreed, saying they aren't in the metagame is probably the stupidest thing to say haha. How is it not playable at a prolevel? They've said all of these units are still subject to change. I feel like these new units are going to bring amazing progames to the table. Subject to change eh. Well that's good. Lets hope they remove all of this, and give us lurkers, defilers, spider mines, and reavers.
I actually agree with this or at least similar units. But blizzard wants to try and make new units. For the most part I dont think that I`m a fan, but I`ll give them a chance.

First imma grab your siege tanks
then imma neural parasite them.
who the fuck needs moving burrowed banelings or charging ultras again?

What's this a carefully executed tank push? hohohohoho lemme just pull all your tanks over here to my waiting ling/bane/roach/swarmshitter hohohohohoho.
Then vikings become mandatory, and corrupters absolutely destroy vikings, and then you have some weird-ass blord/corrupter/viper/generic zerg ground unit versus viking/marine/tank/warhound, and terran just loses ~~
raven scouting to detect moving banelings (holy shit) nope now it just came to a muta party ohohoho.
I really hope that doesn't happen T___T ??? even if the viper pull didnt exist u still have the dark swarm cloud that reduces tank range from 13 to 0 while its under the cloud. much more useful then the pull imo because it forces the tanks to unsiege. basides, terrans get shredders. seems like atking a PF or any terran expansion for that matter will be near impossible now. so please dont whine......
Hooray, something that takes double the time of a siege tank to set up, is easily avoidable, and doesn't work when any friendly units are nearby?
And forgot about dark swarm. Time to switch to toss or zerg, terran's just gonna get facerolled by every zerg ever.
Probably toss, because copying crazy zerg shit is awesome

I don't understand what all of the negativity is about. WoL is a very stale game, there aren't enough spell-casters and currently the (read: viable)strategies for each race are kind of limited. Switching out stale units and changing abilities to make for a more fast-paced back-and-forth game is exactly what Starcraft 2 needs. So far, all of these changes are going to make it a much more exciting game to watch and they added units where races were weakest.
What the hell is wrong with you guys?

why does blizzard troll us by taking away our most gas expensive units, and give us more super-gas expensive units.......
we need more basic stuff that helps in the early-mid game and cheap units that are viable into the late game... I hear zealots and stalkers are incredible for just this. They arent. They are at least not as cost effective as Roach/Ling or Marine/marauder. not even close.

All of the zerg changes are incredible (except for burrow moving banelings...lolwut). Ultralisk charge made me squeal with delight.
Terran changes are mostly good, I think (except the Thor change is silly, I don't want any stupid hero units!). TvP mech is looking very, very strong, and no significiant changes to bio, so looks like Blizzard are going the avenue of making both strategies viable, which is just how I like it. The units look ugly as sin, though. The Warhound looks totally stupid.
The protoss changes are a bit weird; the Tempest will do its job, but the Oracle is a bit funny, it doesn't seem like it will be hugely worth it even though it has some okay abilities. Oh, and a unit that does literally nothing but copy a target non-massive unit? Awfully lazy sounding unit idea when there are many other roles that could have been filled in the protoss army.
So I'd probably give the zerg changes 9.5/10, the terran changes 7.5/10 and the protoss changes 4/10.

Blizzard's moved from using betas as cheap commercials for that products are basically finished to betas where they heavily rely on feedback. Stuff will change. A lot...

Because the other races have it. I personally love the idea that Zerg harass with mobility, Terran harass with drops and Protoss fuck with your minerals rather than cloning the mutalisk 3 times. Differentiates the races a little more.
These zerg units all look sweet, especially neo-lurker. Thats just a perfect implementation of it, bringing back the old lurker is such a blunt fix, make a new, cool lurker like they did! I foresee many a horror story occuring exactly like the viper pull in the trailer though... my poor colossus.

everything seems amazing, but I don't understand removing the mothership, then giving terran a super unit instead (new thor).

I don't understand all these complaints about the replicants and other new protoss ability. Coming from a high master zerg, I dare any of you protoss to come and replicate my drone. I'll hunt you down.
