This new unit has the wings like on a shuttle. I would still guess it is a phoenix/corsair hybrid that shoots both air and ground and maybe has something more useful than gravitron beam for harass. | ||

I'm pretty sure one the current stargate units are going to go byebye. Seeing as blizzard has been talking about getting rid of generic and boring units I could see this coming along to replace the void ray which has always been a powerful unit when used correctly but never a particularly interesting unit like the phoenix. If this is the case then we can expect something unique to differentiate this unit from the average air to ground harassment type. But there are other possibilities beyond the stargate it is worth considering. First off note the similarity this unit has to a sentry, the energy at the center of the unit is visible in the drawing and the spiky nature of this unit is certainly more present in a sentry than it is in any protoss air unit. I could see a unit which you would deploy using some other mechanism in battle as you would a PDD to give yourself some type of advantage. | ||
