i understand that i can just ignore tl.net for the entire day until i get home and then never be spoiled. but, tl.net has so much other content that i would like to read while at work and during lunches (where i dont have enough time to watch the vods, but do have enough time to read and comment on a few articles). i would like to be able to do that without having to be spoiled. so, i read the few articles that have nothing to do with the games the night before, and avoid all articles that clearly would spoil the results (e.g., the live report thread, obviously, and any threads marked spoiler). why is it so unreasonable for people to allow this? it keeps up tl.net's traffic during the workday because people can click and read the articles without fear of spoilers (and generates ad revenue by the way), and in no way hurts people who already know the results. you can discuss the results in the live report thread, you can create articles clearly marked "spoiler" and nobody will complain. so, why dont you guys try to reach a reasonable accommodation for both sides instead of going to the extreme of just allowing spoilers? how hard is it for people to just discuss the results in the LR threads, or in threads that are marked "spoiler?" this way, nobody is really inconvenienced, everyone can discuss their games in appropriate areas and everyone is happy. edi1: this guy said it correctly. have a little decency please. This is not so dissimilar to the way Starcraft works - There's multiple tournaments going on in multiple regions with multiple skill levels, not everyone is able to watch them all at the same time (and may do so later). So it's common courtesy to have a topic discussing general or more directed topics instead of lambasting the winner on the front page for everyone to see, making many people who might or might not have wanted to watch the series, angry.

There are always LR threads and the Liquipedia has always been right there. There are a lot of threads that cover the major events live, you just need to make the slightest effort and click on or put a spoiler tag in the title so other hundreds of other people can enjoy the event as much as you did. Is this so hard? In my opinion, the spoiler policy of Team Liquid might bother a lot of you guys, but it doesn't stop you from visiting the site. But I guarantee that if it doesn't existed, a lot of people would stop coming here. All I am asking is a little consideration with a few of your fellow community members so that most people are able to enjoy Starcraft.

This connection is absent with Teamliquid and the SC2 community because of the “spoiler fear”. TL mainpage should be updated with headlines results of the big events and a spoiler-free gateway could be created for the spoilers freaks.

Problem for me is when there are random Spoilers in the general sc2 Forums. On December 18 2011 11:35 LegendaryZ wrote: Do you people whine about this stuff in every other aspect of your life too? Really, reason because people don't wanna get spoiled is because they are stupid and paranoid? How exactly did you get to that conclusion lol.

Because normal people don't cry about people discussing current events just because they haven't heard about it yet. If you don't know what the ending of a book is, that's your problem, not someone else's and it's not their responsibility to cater to you. If you're really that sensitive to spoilers maybe you shouldn't be on a discussion board/community news website in the first place. Even if we were all to agree to put spoiler tags, you're still running the risk of people breaking the rules anyway so it's still not a sensible place to be if you actually care that much about not having the results spoiled.

First, SC is not like those things, this already has been discussed here, just go back a few pages. Second, i really don't understand why a lot of people here can't click on a thread on the left of the main page with a spoiler tag so other people can still visit Team Liquid and enjoy the game as well as you did. It's such a small thing we are asking for you guys, while you are basically asking for us to not come here while we still didn't watch the game, wich is not as easy some of you might think. (because of reasons that also already have beem discussed here)

Even if TL.net placed a rule against spoilers, what's to stop a person from posting a thread saying PLAYER X WINS TOURNAMENT Y! Or bringing up the results in the middle of a different thread? Unless you can guarantee that won't happen (and you can't), it makes absolutely no sense for you to come to a site like this in the first place if you are really that invested in not having results disclosed.

And how does that make people paranoid and stupid? lol. And still people come to TL for other things then to just read news and discuss SC2, there are bloggs, Streams, other communitys, what about the people that work on TL.Net and so forth. There are a billion reasons other than SC2 discussion to be on TL.net
