The question however is that is this new unit something you mutate in-game from the hydralisk, or mutated 'out of game' to replace it? If it mutated in-game they'd have to make some changes to the hydralisk, if I had to guess I'd think this unit just "replaces" the hydralisk, and zerg will get some other new and better unit to be their ground-to-air unit, as well as a replacement to corruptor as their air-to-air unit (they've basically stated the corruptor is gone) Scourge ![]() But if they get rid of the Corruptor the Archon Void Toilet Strat will be Unbeatable? ...oh wait Scourge! Suiciding into a Mother Ship!!! Lol If this new Siege and/or Burrow Unit Replaces the Hydralisk wouldn't this new unit become the counter to Protoss 4 gate/8 gate pushes.

But I think those claws imply cliffwalk rather than maybe burrow movement. And the thing in the back doesn't look like a sunken or lurker type of burrow attack either. It could be a unit designed to break buildings really fast a bit like the reaper. Or then it's something closer to Immortal - big single shot damage. I'm not sure how I would feel about an AoE unit. The building sniper theory is strengthened by the leaked video of the infested bunker concept, no? Also seeing how the overseer ability (puke goo, bukkake, or what ever it's called) is quite underused they could be replacing it with something different. Also nerf to baneling busts wouldn't be too far fetched IMO. Also they took away the cool headbutt from Ultras.

Would make up for a very interesting unit, but it would to be somewhat slow to be more or less balanced. Never thought about cliffwalk, to be honest.
