I do feel harsh about it but I almost never watch GSL when Artosis and Tastless are not casting. There was a combo (I believe Wolf and QXE) a while back and I really enjoyed them a lot, but I can't help but feel off when Moletrap is casting (and sometimes the case with Doa) despite their knowledge of the game. As a whole I probably hold the bar too high considering Artosis is one of the most technical casters going and Tasleless is so natural with his casting and they work so well together.

Holy christ. gl yeh and everyone says he will improve. he claims hes been casting for 5 years how much improvement can you expect.... he will continue to not know how to use the proper volume levels for a given scenario and he isnt insightful strat wise... if he was he wouldnt be plat league. i know ppl with 30 apm in masters hes just not good for casting....

I feel that Moletrap's casting has gone from bad to worse and its so hard not to caster bash in LR threads when he just says utterly wrong things. People who watched today's GSTL would know what I mean. Khaldor isn't the best caster imo either but he does good play by play without screaming into the mic and giving me an earbleed. I would really like it if gom paired moletrap with Wolf or another more knowledgeable caster. The thing thats most troubling with him is that he isn't improving and knows so little about players and the game While it's not my place to determine what is a good bump to a thread or not, I personally think that bumping a thread regarding something that a person is reasonably excited about only to shit on him is pretty dick. I'm indifferent to his casting, but feel that he's a pretty genuine and decent person, and doesn't deserve that kind of action. You want to bitch about his casting start a new thread, or more reasonably, PM him with suggestions. I don't care if someone starts a thread bashing someone for doing something poorly, that's the internet and it's not my place to judge you if you want to spend your time doing that. But I do care when a thread is made for a positive reason for one person is derailed into something like this, and then revived after it died off naturally.

I think it's kind of obvious that moletrap is such a disliked caster that there'll be a good amount of criticism/hate in any thread about him. You're responding to that guy's post as if he's the first person to say anything critical in this thread.

IMHO their game knowledge is far superior to Artless, the last claim that going fast obs is good in PvT (LOL) . Moletrap's game knowledge isn't anywhere near Artosis', who honestly might know more about Starcraft than anyone else in the scene except maybe TLO. Neither is Khaldor's. Wolf is a pretty good player in his own right so he does know quite a bit about the game, but Artosis > Wolf and Tasteless > Moletrap/Khaldor, simply by virtue of the fact that Tasteless was a Brood War pro while Moletrap is a plat league SC2 newbie on NA.

I was immediately happy that I decided to check before purchasing because there is no way I am paying extra after already buying their damn yearly ticket to watch such a fail caster. I guess you are one of those poeple who buy products depending on the picture and not what the actual text on it says lol ![]() Well, my personal opinion regarding moletrap is: I'm fine with his casting. At first I didnt't like it that much. Now I do. Sure a little less screaming from time to time wouldn't hurt. Still, there are way worse casters/ caster combos out there. Im a little sad that Doa left. But its okay. and btw do you guys know of this video where moletrap is showing off some hardcore acrobatic skills in the gom house? people who can do that are sort of awesome

Artosis', who honestly might know more about Starcraft than anyone else in the scene except maybe TLO. What? TLO has played starcraft for 1 year (ish), Artosis for 15 (ish). Only some koreans have a greater knowledge of starcraft than Artosis.

And I really think GOM should make Wolf commentate everything (Code A, GSTL) alone. Pay him triple, do everything he asks for - I JUST WANT MORE WOLF. Even if he goes insane from this (two DTs).

Considering that we're just now closing in on the 14th anniversary for the SC1 release it would be slightly difficult to have played the game for 15 years unless you did really early playtesting for Blizzard.

Also, I say TLO because he's played all three races at a very high level and clearly understands all of the matchups extremely well. It may be true that other progamers are more knowledgeable about their own race, but I haven't seen anyone else who understands every matchup on the level TLO seems to. Artosis is great, but I feel his knowledge of Terran is a little lacking (not surprising given that he's never played Terran in SC2).

Also I like that he is actually giving background info about the players almost every game.
