Casters have always been an in important role in sc2 esports.

You're responding to that guy's post as if he's the first person to say anything critical in this thread. I'm responding to his revival of this thread after it was long dead. I additionally think the majority of people posting shit-flinging in this thread should do it elsewhere, but that's far less disappointing than the revival of a thread started with positive intent to talk shit.

I was immediately happy that I decided to check before purchasing because there is no way I am paying extra after already buying their damn yearly ticket to watch such a fail caster. As sad as it is, I could not agree more. I did miss most part of the previous season and did not buy a ticket for it (I had for all other seasons). After this period of absence, I was eager to have a look at the start of the new GSTL season. Moletrap greets me and my subconscious immediately decides that I have to close the tab and not buy the ticket. I do not understand GOM's reasoning behind this. They want to be the the best league in the world. For that, they need the best players and the best casters.

It may be true that other progamers are more knowledgeable about their own race, but I haven't seen anyone else who understands every matchup on the level TLO seems to. Artosis is great, but I feel his knowledge of Terran is a little lacking (not surprising given that he's never played Terran in SC2). WHat are you talking about. ARtosis knows terran better than eveyr korean player. Mech is good in tvp. Artosis knows that. All those stupid terran players just hasn't realized it yet. But Artosis is very smart, he played a lot of bw, and casted a lot of game, so he obv. knows stuff every other stupid terran player in the world hasn't realized ^^^^^^^^.

I'd be surprised if Tastosis cast any of the GSTL games. There are only 5 casters though and Khaldor, wolf, moletrap already have all the code A games. So maybe they will split it. But I doubt it. But I hope I'm wrong On topic: Moletrap is eh, idn, not knowledgeable but his play by play is pretty good. Needs to be paired with smarter caster. The fact that him and khalor are both play by play casters (khaldor is pretty knowledgable though overall imo) makes it kinda of awkward though; they both want to talk during the fights it feels like.

That being said, he has improved a very slight amount in the annoyance level but it is still nigh unbearable to listen to.

You can't simply attack me ad hominem and say that this is my fault and that I need to lighten up and change my outlook or ignore him. I can't. This how I feel, this is how others feel, I realize this because I take active participation in local starcraft Facebook groups where people aren't simply anonymous and troll excessively. I won't just shut up and not voice my opinion because that is not how I was raised nor do I believe that will better the situation for the community in the big picture. I just listened to state of the game while I watched the GSTL on mute ![]()
