Triumph over the evil corporation! etc. etc. Edit: On second thought... wtf... we're totally being duped here guys. "Hey, we gave out all the reps last time, how can we appear to be going above and beyond now? Oh... lets say we WON'T give out the reps, denying a service we already provided, then provide them anyway... people will think we're really going the extra mile!" No. In fact, I'm embarrassed that we're all falling for it. In addition, I propose we examine the amount of business SC2 provides and plot it on a line graph next to the amount of business all other MLG disciplines provide combined, then on another line graph, plot the proportions of the prize pools. I imagine sundance with a troll face going "problem?" Actually, he probably wouldn't acknowledge it at all... he'd just do this thing with replays again... "HEY, LOOK OVER THERE!!!!" pay no attention to the man behind the curtain folks...... Alternatively you could look at it from the perspective of "Oh wow, I took for granted how awesome it was/is that MLG provides all the replays to the community free of charge while under absolutely no obligation to do so". How quickly the world owes you something huh? MLG is just such a fantastic tournament, I'm starting to really look forward to each one now!

You obviously didn't have enough evidence to support your belief since it was already shown to be false. Where did he confirm it? The only quote I've seen is that he understands their reasoning, but didn't have enough information to confirm/deny it. And having dug through a replay file myself, the only ID information I could find was the public B.Net identifier. Until I see some actual evidence to the contrary or at least a halfway decent explanation, I don't buy it. However, the reasoning is chat spam ('ddosing') and even if there is some obscure exploit in the replays, a simple script does the same job for you right now very quickly. Not releasing the replays has 0 mitigation value on that problem. So, even if there is an obscure unintended exploit of some kind, lack of release has 0 effect on mitigation. The problem is B.Net's chat functions, not something hidden in replay files. This isn't even going into things like how all the players have replays already floating around the internet for free download.
