It's not cause for threats or personal insults. Honestly I don't care what happens to those trolls, I hope they get punished to the fullest extent of Korean law. Holy shit I can't decide for myself what is right or wrong since the morality is the law? Look mate don't you think sueing a fan because of a criticism on twitter albiet harshly worded is slightly extreme?

I am in uni right now, so I was hoping some1 was able to translate other stuff for me. Thx for helping out : )
The reason I didnt translate this in the first place was the fact it was organised by a guy from starcraf2 gallery. It was bound to be prejudiced. Therefore, I did direct translations of the people involved.
When I get back I will probs do more translation of Haeul twitter.
It really is dissappointing to see her 'keyboard battle' like this.
It's still a valid source of information though. Even if it was complied by someone from that gallery site, the tweets were made by jessica herself.

Hopefully all this drama doesn't cause the girl to think twice about becoming a progamer.
That would set a bad precedent.

I find slayers_jessica amazingly frustrating -_- I don't know if anyone else gets just horribly controlling/egotistical vibes from her, but..
|
Personally I am not sympathetic with raged nerds online who think their keyboard gives them the power to say anything and insult anyone, even harass a person. Put yourself in her shoes for a second... and i highly salute the Koreans for having such a law, in any situation a person should think before saying something, why should this be any different.

Not really. Yah, she might've handled this better, but how is this egotistical or controlling? She has legal precedence and honestly, it's not like she's saying "I am the law". She's just looking out for her team member, who is very young and is subjected to grossly inappropriate treatment.

My fear too mate, all this bickering and attention can't be good for her. Bloody Jessica why did you bring her out so early? Communities are skeptics and easily go into mob mode. If you just had some results or replays for us it wouldn't have been this bad.

Let's just hope it doesn't backfire, cuz I'm not sure if she can handle more of this.

Okay, I can see that point, but nothing in the OP shows me anyone objectively innocent is being punished. If someone is saying, "I respectfully disagree with Jessica's choice of team members" and is being tried, okay that's going too far.
But at the end of the day, Jessica is not going after innocent orphan kids. People said something disrespectful one way or another. Whether you think they deserve it or not is moot. You aren't FORCED to post insults on the Internet. If Korean netizens don't like it, they are welcome to stop posting shit about people, or simply stop posting altogether.
We're so used to doing whatever the fuck we want on the Internet that the thought of any accountability is violently resisted. But like I said, these people said shit on the Internet they wouldn't dare say in real life. They're not 'innocent bystanders,' they're just slightly less rude and slightly less malicious.

True dat, I'm worried such a chance won't be coming soon. I mean a normal progamer's nerves are bad but you imagine being her thinking you are surrounded by haters and such. I mean even ladder games are a nightmare due to everyone knowing her ID. All the whispering that will inevitably come... Poor girl she didn't deserve this.

I think she would be a good TL mod... I don't think 90% of this thread has read TL Ten Commandments. "Generic trolling will get you banned." If only this was enforced more.
I think it's great she is sticking up for her recruit/team. Regardless of if you think she is overreacting or not I would sure want her on my side.
