The question is what made YOU the decider of morality and what is right and wrong here? 'Innocents' caught up in this? That's for the courts to decide, not me or you. Courts are brutal, it is a battlefield one would rather not see. Our Asian courts are not the same as those of you Americans. It's rather easy to get a guilty sentence. That's why the selection of the accused must be made carefully. Okay, I can see that point, but nothing in the OP shows me anyone objectively innocent is being punished. If someone is saying, "I respectfully disagree with Jessica's choice of team members" and is being tried, okay that's going too far.
Well there is the Haeun_Cielu incident I talked about a few pages back. He was a loyal fan who disgreed with the team member and how Jessican was handling things. She snapped at him so of course he snapped back. Then sometime later one what do you know he is getting tried! Thats the sort of person being caught up in this situation.

How is openly voicing something akin to thought? Do you just throw Orwellian terms around as ad hominem?
Is someone holding a gun to people's heads and saying "Post your opinion on the Internet or you die"? If I went on national television and shouted a racial slur, I should be held accountable for what I say and act. Why should the Internet be any different?

If you kill yourself over mean things people said on the internet you have underlying problems. Nobody thinking rationally would even consider committing suicide over some photoshopped porn pics on the internet. I'm fairly certain most people that have done so were suffering from depression anyway or were teenagers crying for attention.

Yes, people who commit suicide over cyber bullying and bullying in general do have self esteem issues. But that's blaming the victim. You're acting as if bullying serves a purpose to humanity and that people committing suicide are just unfortunate incidental damage to something that otherwise betters society as a whole.
Maybe you'll feel differently if you ever have a kid who gets bullied at school. If he or she commits suicide, would you feel the same way?

Freedom of speech has its limitations. Namely, freedom of speech is important because otherwise those in power (as in, politicians) would be immune to criticism and impeachment. Freedom of speech isn't for protecting someone's right to act like a douchebag.

Please check some of the twitter translations I did. The way she was threatning people and going all beserk people for critisizing her english (that she was never tagged in) and snapping at legitimate criticisms very crazy. I wouldn't go far as a communist country but she does have a control freak vibe on her twitter.
