In any regard I like destiny >_< wish he'd value community/teams more though.. he could grow as a player! Well they didn't provide many details, but did mention opinions expressed on his stream and "professionalism." Honestly, no one watches Destiny just for his playing ability - he's popular for being wild. Complexity picking him up and expecting him to be a model G-rated player would be as stupid as EG requiring Idra to gg in all of his games. He was an acquisition as part of a deal... its like when these wow guilds acquire each other to get stronger.. .you always have to take on some jobbers and then you begin immediately looking for reasons to get rid of them without rocking the boat. Destiny is a jobber... he's an okay player, but to be honest its not worth the headache trying to rein him in. Like, can anyone EG having a player like idra, minus the talent? IdrA is popular DESPITE his attitude while Destiny is popular DUE TO his attitude
^This response really captures the issue, well said. Can we give this man a banana sticker?

all yall are so stupid who cares bout manners and all that crap why do ppl have to change the way they are for others shit i applaud destiny for still doing him and not what ppl tell him to do screw al that manner stuff and be yourself if you dont like it then suck it

Destiny probably stood to lose more by conforming to coL's wishes and losing the stream viewership than he stood to gain from playing for a lower tiered team.
coL needed him more than he needs them.

ive been to his stream several times. i think ive counted only once when ive ever heard anything remotely offensive. most of the times i saw him playing, he was almost completely silent, with the occasional "brb" or swear word when he lost. other times it was usually him giving lessons and being completely normal. i dont get why people hate him so much here

Everyone that puts Destiny on a pedestal is so blind. He constantly makes racist jokes and makes fun of black people on top of all of his other completely ignorant rants he habitually goes on.
I challenge any of his fans to take a look at him and objectively evaluate his character. He is an uneducated college dropout with an illegitimate child; moreover, he is a MUSIC MAJOR dropout. That makes him the equivalent of the demographic that he constantly berates (at the most) and uses racial epithets towards... assuming that you want to apply stereotypes like Destiny does.
The only reason that anyone would be a fan of this ignorant hate monger is because they appreciate him for voicing their own closeted bigotry.
Any team that would sign this embarrassment to the community is a disgrace. Good job on Complexity's part for putting a footprint on his ignorant hind quarters.
Maybe this will have a positive effect on him and he will start actually raising his child.
Personally, I find it hilarious that some people view him as a martyr for his own personal beliefs... no matter how misguided and unenlightened they may be. Any rational human being would discern his behavior as stubborn and immature.
He openly admits to signing a contract under false pretenses and yet, somehow, people still support him. I wish I was alive centuries ago where a person's word and signature actually meant something. I hope that the reason this obvious troll post/insane bash post hasn't gotten this person banned is because the moderators is sleeping right now. All I've gotta say about you is that you are the perfect example of whats wrong with the world today, "illegitimate child" ? really now? take your strong religious beliefs somewhere else here we allow EVERYONE and not just your crazy ass shit that has no bearing on anything. Having an illegitimate child is no sign of religious belief. Just the fact he is willing to bring a life into the world without care, emotion, responsibility or anything else. One can be unmarried and want children, there is no harm for that. Having children which you did not plan beforehand, however, deserves the utmost disgust from every rational human. Sadly, given the number of logical fallacies I see on, literally, every thread, those seem to be a rather endangered species.
How can anyone take you seriously after this post? Someone deserves the utmost disgust for having an unplanned child? I can't believe you're not banned yet...

I think a lot of this is blown out of proportion here.I think both sides have handled things professionally and Complexity was nice enough to keep people informed.
I feel this is a non-issue.
Congrats to Complexity! They have added a lot of amazing players.
Goodluck to Destiny, he'll be just fine.
End of story.

After having read through the entirety of this thread, I have just a few things to say.
First off, I am thoroughly disgusted with the bashing of Destiny's character. The postings referring to Steven's personal life and child have both angered and disappointed me. Who are you to comment on the legitimacy of a child? Who are you to proclaim that Steven is a poor father figure? Just because you have your own personal beliefs, it does not make them the standard that everyone needs to adhere to. To come on a message board and bash a PERSON AND HIS CHILD because of your morals is just so hateful and disappointing.
Second, both Steven and Complexity have stated their stances on what happened so please try and keep on topic with the thread.
Good luck Steven, don't let the hate bring you down. <3

The amount of ignorant hate in this thread towards Destiny (and sometimes all his fans) is quite disturbing. It amazes me that "HyperLimen" is not banned for his post, while someone saying a one line slur against CoL gets banned.I have nothing against Complexity, and i wish Destiny the best of luck in all his future endeavors.

best of luck destiny, some of this thread will still be watching you no matter where you go

End of story. Couldn't agree more, If destiny plays his best he will get on a team he wants. If he actually wants a team tho.

Was it just Destiny who supposedly had only half a day to sign his contract? What about Kiwikaki and Slush? They were the two best players in ROOT and them choosing not to sign with Complexity didn't seem to have affected ROOT's merge with Complexity at all. I mean, I doubt there was some sort of condition from Col saying "If Destiny doesn't sign with us, then this merge deal will fall through", right?

Good luck to both parties I suppose.

low tiered team? are you forgetting coL has CatZ, Drewbie, CruncheR and minigun? any tournament they enter they are considered favorites by most people if not top 3. think before you speak.

Can't believe this guy gets so much attention.

CoL feels betrayed because of a reluctance to follow a contract, but Destiny feels as though he was pushed into signing the contract without enough time to fully analyze the situation. Honestly, I think it was handled fairly well by both parties.
I agree, it seems like there was much less drama going on here than you'd expect given the name "Destiny" being involved. It does seem like there should have been a better way than for Destiny to just breach his contract, either something else he could have done or, when he explained the situation to the complexity guys, something they could have done like release him from his contract. It's not really like either side had a huge amount to gain from Destiny's involvement with col, he has a revenue source from his stream and is still improving as a player, so he's not in a position to deliver results right away for them. It's too bad col felt like they had to publicize this as a "breach of contract," because if destiny does reach the level of a top player sometime soon then this could make other teams more hesitant to pick him up, idk why col didn't just say they were "going separate ways."
