Hell even the other guests/host of the show troll him. Yeah, I like Painuser, but if I heard him say "how hard would it be to put in some form of IRC chat into...." I was going to lose my mind. Even when we knew that better social features, more robust, were comming out, he still said "If they just put in some sort of IRC chat...". He needs to learn how to drop something and find new talking points. Blizzard functions are more robust and better than IRC... Can it be that you dont even know what irc is? Do you know how sentences work? Specifically how a comma works within a sentence? When I said "more robust social features" I was comparing the announced feature set to the current set of social features in battle.net. I was not referring to IRC in any way when I used the term, “more robust”. And I grew up with dial up, so I grew up on IRC. In this case it makes even less sense. When you grow up with irc, you know how shit bnet functions are compare to it. When it have nothing to do with IRC and you just compare old bnet2 with new bnet2, why do you even mention what he said? Because blizzard improves a shit system to a bad system, he is not allowed to ask for a good system?

You don't get it because you didn't read what I was responding to. The topic of discussion was Painuser and his tendency to rehash the same statment over and over. I was pointing out how I was sick of him saying how Blizzard should put IRC chat into the B.net every episode, numbing my mind to anything else he would say. Or the fact that saying "they should add this feature from another program/game into this game, because it would great," is one of the least insightful things someone can say. He might as well say "They should make it better by adding stuff that is good."

Firstly you're taking his post way to literally looking to nit-pick it for some reason. Secondly Pain User stressed that he wanted the most simple form of an irc-like chat in the game. So, in the end Pain User is not asking for a "good system" he was only asking for a system that was equivalent to battle.net 1.0. As far as i know nobody knows what their new chat system will feature, so he wasn't making any statement on how poor Blizzard's new chat system is. Third he wasn't even specifically pointing out a flaw in Pain User's logic. He was simply agreeing that Pain User tends to make the same point, a point that was originally made by someone else, says it over and over, and I as well as him get sick of it.

Got it. Still agree with painuser. I understand that people get sick of it. Im sick of saying it. I think its a waste of time.If they are able to do it good, they would already.
What i dont get is why you guys serious think that the changes will create a good system? Its not a question if they want or not. They just cant.
We talk about a system that does not have a working search function in 5+ years development. Stuff like this shows a serious issue in modelling, programming, testing, quality management and project management. Why should this change over night? Its still the same people working on it.

I find it impossible to believe they can't bring battle.net back to 1.0 standards, it's just a matter of wanting it, with the Activision money I really don't see what could make it impossible.
Really, the only reason they havn't yet is either because they don't believe the hordes of people that have told them bnet2.0 is crap, or just don't want to admit their mistake.
Considering unit's like the roach, marauder and collosus are still in the game with hardly any changes, I'm guessing the latter, let's just hope Blizzard or Browder in specific learn to swallow their pride for the sake of this games future.
I can understand you get frustrated by Painuser repeating these things, but someone needs to, Blizzard has shown repeatedly that the only way to get anything done is by consistently whining and hoping the community jumps on the bandwagon so Blizzard feels like it might impact the holy sales numbers. See the Custom Map service (which is hardly an improvement tbh but they tried), (soon to be) global play and the numerous patch changes made at the behest of the entire community flipping the fuck out (not to mention that a ton of changes in HotS are basically fixing problems people have been complaining about since release, most likely as a dirty tactic to get more sales).
Ofcourse there's always going to be some forced things coming down from their incompetent overlords at Activision, but apart from LAN they don't really seem to care as long as the money keeps coming in.

Please do not put word into our mouths or assume we believe things. We did not say any of things you reference above and we were only commenting on the quality of Painuser’s input over the last 7-10 shows. The only reason we are discussing the social features is because you have dragged discussion, kicking and screaming, to that topic. The only one really talking about them is you.
And to be clear; I rarely, if ever, agree with any of the design discussion on TL. This goes especially true when people propose “solutions” for how to fix B.net. I find more of the suggestions to be overly simplistic solutions to extremely complex problems, or simply uninformed. Much of the suggestions assume that most problems can be fixed by throwing money or programmers at it and the problem can be fixed instantly. I don’t comment on things I have limited information, like how hard it is to add a feature like search, into a piece of software.
This is why I don’t want to discuss if the system is good or not, since I don’t really have a problem with the current system.

You trolling? Cuz I'm pretty sure you don't even know what you're talking about. You don't agree with Pain User even if you agree with his sentiment because Pain User stole this idea from someone who thought it before him. You agree with Destiny just letting you know (even though he wasn't the first).
Also I don't think any drastically awesome change is going to happen. I think Blizzard is a shit company nowadays. They make a game as cheaply and as incomplete as possible. Then they will release expansions and give you features such as chat or clan tags and act like they did it just because you asked for it. When those features should have been in the game in the first place. By the way this has nothing to do with the people who actually program the game. This has everything to do with Activision-Blizzard trying to rip every customer off by creating a weak game, promising to make it better for your 40 bucks, oh wait your 40 bucks two times.

2: Thats fine. You dont have to discuss that. I know how hard it is or how much work it cost to add this features so i comment on it. And yes you can get all that with throwing money at some programmers. Dont have to be a good one. Everyone will do. All this discussions is about stuff that is done before million times. If you are not able to program that, well than you are no programmer.

"The truth is independent from the amount of people who believe it" and independent from their intelligence Sadly is was destiny who made it more popular. I think that was not very helpful...
But all this is nothing that is or will be, serious discussed in this show. So its Off-topic

Just caught epi 57 and have only 1 thing to say... i really really really hate people who shout to get their point across.

Wheat blogged here on tl and tweeted the link talking about show hiatus until January.
1. I'm on honeymoon until 15th with only iPhone/iPad. When I return I'm in Oregon / Washington with family until I return in January to the lair. 2. Greg left for a EU vacation on the 9th then he will visit his family. 3. Wheat had a family emergency around MLG that took a bit to recover from.
Rather than tr and improvise with 2 of 4 out we decided to chill until new year.
I know it isn't ideal for you guys but posting in frustration here and starting to speculate odd things like "incontrol is on twitter for hours so obv he can do a show" is mostly embarrassing and won't get you anywhere

And yet you are still able to format that post so well...
I call conspiracy and/or BS! I mean what person in their sane mind would only bring an iphone/ipad on their honeymoon??? You would have to bring the entire rig with dual-screens. :D
Sarcasm aside, thanks for being truly for the people and updating the hordes, on such vital matters of state (well I tried to keep the sarcasm aside).

That's fine and dandy, but frankly I'm worried about Goatlust. No one has given any updates!
What if he hit a pack of bogans on a walkabout and had to fight them off while riding an emu? Such suspense til January!
+ Show Spoiler +Goatlust aside, I am glad you guys are keeping us up to date and will await your return with baited breath.
