The end result from this drama is that he probably enjoys an increase in LoL streaming viewership, or at the very least it doesn't hurt his viewership. The guy would jump on Hots ASAP if that was the thing to gain him an increased amount of viewership. I think the underlining frustration from some of the guys arguing against destiny is that he's really in this all for self gain, and attention, and what he's doing does little to help the Sc2 community. At the end of the day, words mean little in seeing a person's intentions compared to action. Look at destiny's actions, if he prefers Sc2 and its community, what will he do at the end of the day other than trash blizzard on reddit? As if that was a novel idea.... We've all done it, all he's done is align his fanbase to his viewpoint, and what little else? Destiny's the friend you had in highschool that stopped talking to you when you stopped hosting parties. That is all.

As a result, destiny made LoL his main game, and at this point I believe he almost exclusively plays LoL to get his numbers. He then makes a thread that (whatever its intentions) said a lot of bad things about Sc2 and a lot of good things about the new game he's playing on stream. Still find it strange they're gonna let the last episode be the Destiny clusterfuck one, if you want to turn the hate generated by the Destiny army into positivity, doing a show and trying to mold their opinions might be a good idea, kind of seems that for all intents and purposes Destiny won this battle, causing so much butthurt ITG had to go off the air.

I wanted to make a bunch of points for why destiny was wrong, but I can't really. Both sides were right. In the end Geoff and Greg can't make blizzard make a game with common sense. In the end Blizzard did make an incomplete game, so that in the end you will wind up paying $140 for a full copy of SC2. And in the end Blizzard wouldn't ever be able to make FTP with micro transactions work for SC2. So SC2 won't ever be LoL, it is still just as popular as it was at release.

Going by the sheer amount of tweets Incontrol is posting, I find it hard to believe he can't do a show but does have hours to mess around with twitter, if he's even still dealing with the whole wedding thing, on dec 7th he was already in the middle of his honeymoon. Although I know that Idra and Incontrol have a very close connection, I'm sort of guessing Idra is not joining the newlyweds on their honeymoon, meaning he's prolly back at the EG house. The idea that they wouldn't do a show without Incontrol because the community might make fun of him is just stupid, and I find it hard to believe it's because ItG needs him so desperately they can't do a show without the man. As far as Destiny is concerned, I actually don't give a shit about the guy or any form of MOBA game, I do mostly agree with his argument though, but that's just something I've felt since WoW and the whole Activision clusterfuck. With Wheat raging out however and saying he might be done forever with the show after the Twitter fiasco that followed the Destiny episode, it's nothing more then natural to question whether or not he's going to follow up on his words, and in effect, let Destiny kill the show. To reiterate, I don't care about Destiny, I do however care about these talkshows, which has in my personal opinions been some of the most entertaining SC2 material around, hell, these days I'd rather watch ItG or SotG over any non GSL or DH final, to let this wonderful show die due to some ridiculous shit flinging fest with Destiny and his fanboys would be extremely sad, and to be honest, kinda pathetic on Wheats part. Also, Painuser is great, shut your whore mouth. User was warned for this post

That will be after the New Year, just like they all have been saying for a couple of weeks. I swear everyone who posts questions in this thread has never seen twitter or watches any of the hosts on Twitch.tv. Idra has been home since the wedding, Geoff has been posting funny photos of his dog on twitter and DjWheat has been keeping everyone up to date. Even if you hate twitter, just get links(through your browser, no account required) to those three accounts(Idra, Incontrol and DjWheat) and you will never need this thread or the drama within.

Yeah, I like Painuser, but if I heard him say "how hard would it be to put in some form of IRC chat into...." I was going to lose my mind. Because IRC was always more robust than HTML. All blizzard social functions together, is not even 0.1% of the possibility of IRC. Next time read about an topic before you comment on it.

Do you know how sentences work? Specifically how a comma works within a sentence? When I said "more robust social features" I was comparing the announced feature set to the current set of social features in battle.net. I was not referring to IRC in any way when I used the term, “more robust”. And I grew up with dial up, so I grew up on IRC.
