Great article. I agree with Idra that his reputation is over-blown. Idra should be known as more of a guy who says what is on his mind, not someone who is bad mannered or a crybaby (especially that).

Well I think he should be considered bad mannered... but not a crybaby or anything to that extent. The fact that he blatantly tells some opponents that they suck is bad mannered... and personally I find it very interesting so I am not saying it as an insult... but when people call him a crybaby, QQer or whatever else... I disagree with them.

At the same time I do understand that people have seen him getting frustrated, but many pros do that while getting less attention for it because they don't have a reputation for it.

As for the article... well done!

I don't understand why he left korea to play in the nasl when there's plenty of people that live in korea that also play in the nasl. He could be doing both gsl and nasl at the same time.

Oh my GOD !

What and incredibly awesome read of awesomeness. I have to admit that Greg might be looking like a bad-mannered kind of person in public, but he really has some personality, since he has no shame to say what he is thinking. I think that's something to be proud of.

Thanks for posting this

After reading the interview, my take on IdrA is a lot different... wow, after all that has happened to him before going to Korea, and while being in Korea, (I won't say anything, I won't spoil some one) I feel good for him, and I'm going to be an even bigger fan of him, he is amazing

IDRA FIGHTING!!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I've been an IdrA fan since the BW days and this interview is one of the better ones lately. It's nice that he got a chance to talk about his reputation since it really is blown out of proportion. A lot of people who meet IdrA in person can tell that he is a chill and nice guy at times. It's just his gamer persona that he gets shit for. People can talk shit about IdrA all they want, but at least he can back it up by being a great player and one of the best Zerg players in the world. I didn't think about it too much, but it's true what he said about HD and Husky. Back in the early days, they would upload videos of IdrA losing and having IdrA bm the other player.

At first he moved into the apartment of Nick 'Tasteless' Plott, an American StarCraft® commentator who had been commentating Pro League games. Within a week after that, Greg was set up in his own apartment
.

Ouch.

Love all the random ass pictures of him staring off so deeply into the distance.
Life is too short to take it seriously.

He said this in a previous interview, im paraphrasing, is that theres more chance to win money in small tourneys, than huge tourneys where the skill is really high. Basically he sees more growth in the foreign scene than korea. Im paraphrasing

He sees more money outside of Korea. Not anything to do with growth, that's just assumption. I'm pretty sure he and any other realistic person would see there isn't much growth to eSports outside of Korea. It's already pretty big as it is, for what it is. But right now he can make more money where the competition isn't as difficult of course.
