SteelSeries just posted a really nice feature on EG.IdrA that discusses his career from joining eSTRO back in 2007 up until his move back to the U.S. It's informative for those interested in how he first became a professional gamer.

He would sometimes berate his opponents for "cheesy" plays, and in South Korea where losing face is worse than losing games, his loud mouth had earned him a reputation as a player who says want he wants. If you ask Greg, he actually feels that he has earned an unfair reputation.
- Honestly I think it's largely overblown stuff based on reputation. I mean, I do get mad when I lose games, and occasionally when I lose in a particular stupid fashion - like the games versus Masq or Silver or whatever, I will tell my opponents what I think of them.

I loved the quote "oddly enough the more people that hate you, the more they want to watch, so in some way it's almost beneficial". I'm glad he sees it like that because it really is the truth! You don't even have to look any farther than professional wrestling so see that people love the bad guy, or at least who people perceive to be the bad guy. Not to mention plenty of teams would want to be associated with him because they know he can draw an audience of haters and fans alike. (I know that the IM team has said they would never take him, but certainly he wouldn't have any trouble finding a place if something happened to Evil Geniuses)

Great article. I agree with Idra that his reputation is over-blown. Idra should be known as more of a guy who says what is on his mind, not someone who is bad mannered or a crybaby (especially that).

This is an article that should be in a non starcraft newspaper or something, to get people curious about the starcraft scene, the questions, format, answers are very good (maybe best I''ve seen yet) but not much new for someone who knows who he is/was.

Really nice interview, I didn't know Idra had so many freckles, that's pretty neat, there is not enough freckled faces where I live. Anyhow really nice how it does a big overview and I had forgottent that he started in Estro then CJ Entus.

I thought it was pieced together in a unique way. Instead of being a simple Q + A they made it into more of a reader's digest sort of piece. Its more of a short biography of his Starcraft career.
It was different and I liked it. Thanks for sharing ^_^

Really interesting article, however it felt like they were repeating themselves several times on the first four pages.
Still... It's interesting to see Idra's take on all the stigma he gets for BMing.
