You wouldn't even really need a "mod". I'm pretty sure all the campaign-exclusive Terran units are in the Galaxy Editor as is. You'd just need a custom map.

And yes, I endorse this idea.

If its next month i think it's a little too early. Too much stuff needs fixing in the game at them moment....or better maps would be nice before it comes out

lol, slow pushing is much more of a Terran trait. Lurker =/= Zerg Siege Tank.

Lukers are actually pretty fast, so you can move fast and then get burrow as soon as you're in a good position. So no slow pushes for zerg i guess.

Definitely not slow pushes. They're kind of like Siege Tank pushes except for the fact that they go 3x as fast. :D

When we talk about slow push it is meant that it takes time for them to burrow/unburrow and they are useless during that time (well they are almost useless when unburrowed as well except for running away :D) and you need to move forward bit by bit as you do not want to get caught with all/most of your lurkers unburrowed. Also more lurkers means less other units (same for terran with tanks) so you are really dependant on those lurkers being burrowed in the right position when you get attacked same as terran with tanks is.

I pray Lurkers aren't added because Terrans might actually start using Ravens. That and Lurkers are morphed from Hydra which are tier 2 which would make for late(r) game lurkers when I'd prefer something earlier to help defend pushes.

Instead of lurkers from hydra's, it would be cool if they gave queens an upgrade for a burrowed attack (that also still needed burrowed researched). It would really open up early-to-mid game options and falls inline with the motif that Zerg is a evolving race with with a "flowing" feel. It's a weird idea (read: bad idea) , but hey - just getting excited to see what's revealed.

I really hope that units of a vulture\lurker\defiler\reaver type are added. The bring so much more into the game. Atm sc2 is too straight forward and boring too watch without any players being able to really control the really important positions and splitting their armies a lot D:

A morph of say 100/100 to allow queens to fly and do their spine attack would be sweet.

You have a 150 hp flying unit that can heal and does decent damage for the cost of 250/100 from hatcheries o_o

I hope they add the diamond back... I don't even play terran but that is a sweet unit.


On a more zerg note, I am hoping for tier 1 hydras, tier 2 lurkers, and smaller ultras. you can get rid of the banelings and the roach.... I want 1f hydras and t2 lurkers back

Lurker is cool to add, but people please remember, Lurker worked in SC:BW because unit move in formation, and not clumsy all together like they are now in SC2.

Just imagine, 2 group of 5-6 lurker all "sticks" together and get wiped out by 3 splash seige tanks shots. Blizzard needs to fix there unit movement before lurker can be in SC2

Units were moving in formation in SC:BW? They just made a long line while constantly bumping in to each other along the way, that is unless you microed them ofc but even then they still wouldn't move in a way I would call "smooth". The clumping in Starcraft 2 might be a bit extreme sometimes but I'd think the movement A.I. as better overall.

As for your example that doesn't even happen towards hydralisks so I can't see it happening to a group lurkers with more health. Nothing is preventing you from microing them apart from each other before burrowing them either. The largest issue with bringing back lurkers that I would see is probably the need to rearrange the zerg tech tree.
SC / LoL / DotA // Twinmold took a moment for himself. He never gave it back.
