Hey guys i was wondering if any of you get watery eyes when you play... i was playing today and my eyes got so watery i had tears running down my face and it wasnt even cuz i was playing protoss! (jk!) when ever i play console games this does not happen however when i play starcraft my eyes get super watery! is this from the intense concentration that starcraft requires or am i just a freak? if anyone else has this problem do you know how to stop it? Thanks <3

It's probably from dry eyes. Take a break once every hour, and close your eyes for a few minutes.

You need to experiment a bit I think, so that you can narrow it down.

Does it happen in 3v3 games for example? Custom games? Other computer games?

Well I get this sometimes when I mass ladder games. I think its just staring at your monitor for too long.Dont really know how to fix this , but I guess jsut blink alot? It doesnt bother me enough to think about it , just happens to me when i stare at screen for to long.

I know Starcraft requires concentration, but you do have to blink every once in a while.

Maybe all the flashing colors are making you blink a lot?

Blink more. That's what I find killing me. I can't play video games without looking like I'm crying because if the game requires a lot of focus, I feel like blinking would be a detriment (there goes 1/100th of a second).

It happens when i play 1v1's and its not so bad at first but by late game i can hardly keep my eyes open... i should also mention it does not happen all the time but it has been occurring more frequently. it never happens in other games but i am pretty new to rts

Happens to me too, helps to turn the brightness down a bit. I've had this problem ever since I started playing video games. It's even worse on first person shooters with flashbangs etc. It also helps to take a 5 minute break, close your eyes and relax for a while.

Yeah, it's because you're not blinking enough. This happens to me a lot in fighting games where every second counts.

same for me, especially those odd 40 min games where you barely get to blink. but yeah, whats been said so far, dry eyes.

I've noticed that my eyes get a lot more strained playing Starcraft than any other game. I dont get tears though, my eyes just get bloodshot. Taking breaks certainly helps.

No, just kidding lol. This actually has happened to me when I play without having enough sleep beforehand. I recommend taking a nap or at least to stop playing for a bit.

I get the same thing, but on console games too. It only happens rarely and when im concentrating very hard. Which sucks considering its impossible to concentrate when ur eyes are burning from tears
