Combat-ex is good at what he does. That is true though that one day people may be able to stomp him every game. I'm just surprised it doesn't already happen. He's combat-ex, you know he's going to cheese.

He talks endless, ridiculous shit. Anyways, on topic: Once the slots are filled, you can never get in unless someone becomes inactive? That sounds pretty dumb.
That's a good question, I wonder how they're going to do it at the end of the season, the people that didnt perform so well get moved down and a new set of good performing master league players get moved up? So glad they addressed this...

Will us masterleaguers be the new diamond when grandmaster is out?
I mean, nobody respects diamondleaguers anymore

Interesting, so its like the top 200 list actively updated and renamed? cool.

Well time to aim high
When I finish these damn exams, I will try to fit in some games everyday. gl hf everyone!

Because you lost 100% of the games he doesn't Cannon Rush/Proxy Gate. Sounds absurd but Cannon Rushes work amazingly well in PvP for some odd reason, I've won more games than I have lost doing Cannon rushes and I have lost more games than I have won against them.

Yeah, I think this is what frustrates most people, you know he is going to cheese, but you don't know what cheese and hes done it so many f**king times that he knows every single in and out of the cheese.
Pretty sure everyone lets out a "sigh" (or "fml") when they see Combat-Ex's name in the loading screen lol

It actually says "skillrating" which I assume refers to MMR, so people who are top200 now doesnt necessarily have to be top200 based on MMR. If skillrating is your regular points I'm very confused about the wording, and their aproach...
I don't like the fact that you basically can't be dropped out of it unless you go inactive though, especially if Blizz will use the GM league to give blizzcon invites and other things similar to that.

You're still top 2% active players minus top 200. Its just that Master League was the only thing you could say to prove you were "good" considering it was the highest you could achieve just like "top/high" Diamond or Platinum back in the day.

Or do I miss something? Well obviously if they start losing games their mmr will drop and they will be demoted. So you have to keep playing and keep a very good record, simples.
That's not what the FAQ states. The FAQ says the only way to drop out of GrandMaster league once you're in it is by accumulating over 270 bonus pool points. This means you only get two weeks to get into the GrandMaster league for that season, if you happen to get the game after those two weeks are up and you happen to be GrandMaster material you're SoL until the next season unless a GrandMaster becomes inactive. I don't like it.

They need to simplify it more for you guys?????
Meaning if you go AFK for awhile, you cant expect to be in the masterleague. top 200 changes, maybe not much in the 1-100, but the 101-200 probably changes alot
I dont understand why people are confused, and why is there so much hate for everything new to sc2...

Does this mean, that all the top 200 players from each server will play against each other so the Koreans are also playing against the Europeans?

Doesn't say that anywhere, no.

No it's still going to be segregated like it is now.

Every Top 200 blog post Blizzard writes: We have plans to one day have the best players, based on their current rankings, compete against each other...We will update this list every few weeks until it's time to have them compete.
They've been saying that for a while so it's probably putting that plan into action.

Probably not, the top 2 percent of players are masters, then the top whatever percent will be grandmasters

Assuming the 5.05 million player figure from sc2ranks is correct. Being in Grandmaster (on NA server) would be the top .00396% of players.
There are currently 5578 players in master league who have been active in the past 14 days on the NA server according to sc2 ranks. Assuming this is the top 2% a ratio
5578/2=200/x gives us grandmaster league is the top .07171% of (active) players.

i really don't think so as the GM league is only the top 200 players. that's a pretty select group of people.
