Anyways, on topic: Once the slots are filled, you can never get in unless someone becomes inactive? That sounds pretty dumb.

I guess if unorthodox builds are about spamming the shit out of your opponent with trash talk HOPING to throw them off or what have you, then he plays unorthodox builds.
Wonder how well that would work out in a LAN tournament.

If you're in the top 200, your MMR is pretty damn high, and you're playing quite well. Even if you do abusive strategies-- If they work, they work. If Combat-EX-esque (maybe I should call it Combat-EXque) players are still winning in the top 200, but shouldn't be 'taken seriously', then they won't last long once the game develops because better players will end up knocking them down. I don't really think it's fair to rip on anyone in the top 200 unless they're a hacker. BM?

He cheats. He doesn't count.
+ Show Spoiler +Bare minimum he was Stream cheating Idra last night, he said what Idra was building at least some times in those matches, like in the first match he said: "Mass speedlings won't work" just as Idras lings were poping in his base.

Lol, you obviously need to do some research on who that kid is.

Ooh, very nice. I won't get in obviously, but I enjoy the extra layer of feat that I need to accomplish!

thats funny because streams are on delays... So his comment would have been after those lings were already hatched.

I think this is pretty unethical, but stream cheaters will always exist. Literally nothing you can do about it, except ban from tournaments, rendering ladder pointless. IdrA could have also queue dodged him quite easily.

Anyone know what we stand to gain by being at the top of the ladder? Are Blizzcon invites going to be determined by ladder? Is Blizzard going to run SC2 tournaments?

yea combatex proxy gates or cannon rushes me 90% of the games i play him

I think it would be safe to assume as much. They are slow at getting the "End Plan" online but one can only think that this is a step in that direction. I may be crazy but I think they mentioned ladder tournaments and blizzcon yada yada yada.
On a side note, Nony give me your powers ?

Were the last Blizzcon invites based on top200?

This whole grandmaster league thing seems kind of meh, because the best players, who are going to be practicing the most and attend the most events are likely not going to have the time to top the ladder.
And yeah from what I gather Blizzcon invites are at least partly ladder based, plus some guests?

Is Blizzard going to run SC2 tournaments? in wc3 was a similar liga called proleague. they top8 of every realm got invited to regional qualifiers, where the top2 qualified fpr blizzcom. i guess it will be like that again

NA invites (Huk and Select) were based on ladder, yeah. Other regions got bracket qualifiers and the players invited to play in the qualifier were based on ladder.
I wonder if it's possible to be #1 on the ladder from Masters league.

It is a mystery..
I'm sure Blizzard doesn't even know themselves, and I think it's safe to assume nothing and that Blizzcon invites will be another hidden, cryptic process unless otherwise specifically told by Blizz

My guess is that they go based on their own ladder alongside tournament exposure and win. A little of both perhaps?

Don't forget they take time to build.
And it was a little bit forced on my part. The lings were actually half-way to CombatEX's base. Watch the VODs later, if you have any doubts.
