Perhaps a reasonable compromise would be if the amulet upgrade was temporary and after X amount of time expired and would need to be researched again. This way it can drain the Protoss of some resources in exchange for warp in storms.

nestea vs san, san goes for the archon toilet, makes the game spectacular, and nestea actually goes many blings, so san couldn't do the archon toilet. was hilarious to watch, pretty exciting, why get rid of it -_-

Probably not since yamato cannon, seeker missile, EMP, nuclear missile, etc are all spells that launch missiles and they do not get hit by PDD (that is PDD currently doesn't target missiles created by spells).

The problem with it is that lategame banelings simply aren't viable against it, storm will kill them, then the mothership can vortex when they are dead, and everything else dies then... I guess infestor will help against toss but I really felt like a corrupter buff or colossus nerf was incoming. I wish I could find the zergs that really feel that zvp is balanced so I could leech their style. Yeah, I would have loved a corruptor damage or attack speed buff, seems like collosi are just so strong in the midgame versus zerg...

I already was sort of feeling like EMP is hard to deal with at times. But now if my HTs get EMPed I have no way to come back from that. I wouldn't mind this HT nerf if EMP became an upgrade.

Warp in storms may have been difficult to deal with late game, but in TvP early game, the onus is on the Protoss to pull off those forcefields to stay alive, I felt it fair that the onus moved to the terran in the late game to utilise ghosts in order to defend themselves from storm. Perhaps a reasonable compromise would be if the amulet upgrade was temporary and after X amount of time expired and would need to be researched again. This way it can drain the Protoss of some resources in exchange for warp in storms. Whole point is that the stim pack nerf (which was aimed at TvZ) lessens the early Terran advantages of map control/aggression, so they wanted to weaken Protoss' late game vs Terran. However, I do agree that complete removal of amulet is a bit extreme.

The removal of multiple pieces of staple gameplay (in this case upgrades) from the game over 6 months after the game is already released, signifies a fundamentally flawed design process. There's just no two ways about it. Why couldn't Blizzard figure out in alpha, or beta, or 1 month, or 2 months after release that there was no need for Flux Vanes? What was the nail in the coffin that finally made them drop the hammer? Why has it taken them this long to come to the conclusion that Khaydarin Amulet isn't needed? What was the nail in the coffin here? Ultimately, it seems like incredibly lazy design to conclude the only way to balance the game is to completely slash entire elements from it instead of attempting to find ways to make them coexist. The Blizzard team has essentially waved the white flag and conceded that their original design plans for these upgrades were so BAD that they need to be completely erased because their very existence is inextricably broken. So why was it ever there in the first place? We've spent over 6 months of release time playing with this, and now its going to be completely gone. This is just terrible terrible game design sense. Discovering that multiple elements in your game are superfluous is something that should be ironed out in beta, not months after release. If they keep going this route, Protoss is inevitably going to end up with a bunch of empty tech buildings with no upgrades. Frankly I'm surprised they haven't tried to pull this happy horseshit with any of the scores of Terran upgrades that go untouched in almost every game. This is borderline amateurish decision making and shouldn't be expected from a game of this high caliber.

Some people have been able to connect and test some of the new changes but since the beginning I always have the same message: "SC2 Public Test server is not available right now. Please check http://www.battle.net/sc2/game/ptr/ for more information." I think that happens because your Launcher is outdated. Try playing the live version and see if it updates, and try the test server again. If not, then delete the Test folder in your Starcraft II directory and try redownloading the PTR again.
