Just because you have a boner for Tychus doesn't mean we should all have no choice but to be stuck with default menus. In SC, people tend to look at the menus a hell of a lot. We should be able to make it look however we want.

Yea, thats the most annoying peops; that actual scream to ban peops that obvisious to just switch some pictures.
Its a game about fun; not about "ban this guy for any ridiculous reason".
Blizzard should take notice of this "Mini hacks" (that modify the game or game files "somehow") and just implement them as fast as they can; as the community obvisious likes it.
If blizzard would just be faster with such stuff; it takes months to implement small features , would be a good idea to take some Fan-Projects and just give them a Blizzard "thumps up" to use them right away ; would speed this production speed by a hell if Fan Projects could somehow make it in the game instead of just be some form of "hack".

You can add SC1 sounds and music without editing MPQ files. Only add some files into right created folders

Wow, some of these look amazing
I agree with the people here who say they get bored looking at the marine faces. I really hate the loading screen with Raynor's face, what's with floating heads these days. Why can't they put a more interesting loading screen picture, like a BC using Yamato cannon, or a siege tank blasting zerglings.

The Overmind is dead. Tassadar flew a fucking super carrier into him.

hey teliko, do you have a dds file with the medic as the terran quick match background? i tried to just copy and paste the file myself but the alignment is all off.
if not can you quickly explain how to do all this layer mask blahdy blashy photoshop magic you mentioned in your blog?

Using the Elliptical Marquee Tool, select some of the image in photoshop. Then press Layer > Layer Mask >Reveal Selection. When you're happy with how much it's showing, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and just blur until how much you're comfortable with. There's no way to get the image to fit into the menus because that's just the place Blizz told the image to be put.

alright im experimenting with photoshop a bit to try and get this to work.
i wasnt able to select layer mask after i used the elliptical marquee tool for some reason but i think i figured it out anyway.
ill start loading some files into sc2 and see how it turns out.
also, if you like you can add a link on your blog to a program to convert the image files into dds files for macs (since none of the options you give are mac friendly : ) ). its called aorta :

I still gotta make the Game Lobby screen fit properly but here is what i'm Rocking. Not sure about the Terran one what to do but used this one as my test and havent removed it yet

Thanks for the link. Make sure you click Layer From Background in your layers before trying to apply the marquee. If there's a lock icon on your layer, you won't be able to apply one. The dimensions for each background are different and a lot of them don't fit which is why you need to gaussian blur. To find the dimensions of whichever image you're using, just open the original dds with photoshop and find the dimensions of that.
