Hello everyone So i have a question about how somone can handle the camera while watching a replay. For example in WC3 and other games with some extra programm you can change your pov in the game. You can zoom really far away or really close , you can do 360 turns , move your camera freely around the map , or change the speed the camera moves when you use arrow keys etc... (for example WC3 has the programm ReplaySeeker..)
I am new in SC2 so i don't know if such a programm exists.. Can you help me ? :D Thx in Advance

middle mouse wheel zooms in and out, and insert/delete rotates the camera 90 degrees

Yeah thats the basic options... Imagine that i am a little Mosquito and i want to see everything from whichever point of view i want.. Like the Free look option in Counter Strike..

i wish we could zoom out more, i like to zoom out in all of my games, other than fps.

Press 1 to see the game from Player 1's point of view, and press 2 to see the game from player 2's point of view. You can either just see what they see and scroll around wherever you want, or you can press C (I think?) to enable Player Camera, and it will follow their camera around, like a true first person view.
I don't think you can zoom out any more than the standard zoom. Turn camera with Insert/Delete like BoxedLunch said.
You can change the camera move speed in the options menu under... gameplay maybe? There's edge scrolling speed (move cursor to side of screen), mouse drag speed (press + hold middle mouse, move move to move camera), and arrow key scrolling speed (press up/down/left/right).

Would really love an option like this. Just being able to view replays with my camera on the ground aka unit size, and seeing a colossus tearing up everything, would be pretty sweet. Certainly would be simple for Blizzard to implement, but I doubt it.

Thank you for your answers , but it seems like what i want is not possible :/

no such program exists for sc2 and it would likely be illegal anyways as it would require messing with game code.... blizz says thats a no no.
I would like to see the features available tho, but the game wasn't designed to have free camera movement.. shame

I pretty much only use the middle mouse and clicking on the minimap. Everything else feels like it's too jerky or too hard for the spectators to follow.

I have not seen any casters, well known or not, use a program like what you are talking about. Perhaps on will come out eventually as the game matures, but for now, I think you are just stuck with the basic options.

Most of you seem to answer a different question
I remember there existed a hack where you could zoom out how long you wanted, since I remember that someone posted a replay of a hacker using it on ladder, and when watching the replay from his point of view, you could see the zoomed-out view. Perhaps that is what you are looking for, althhough I assume it is against Blizzard's EULA.
I think it would be great if this was implemented for observers, it would be great for the casters to be able to zoom out more.

They should do this, actually, SC2 should have shipped with this function in it. RTS' have been doing this for years now. Even if you only want to allow it in replays due to balance issues, I think it'd go a long way towards improving replay analysis. You can miss alot in a replay, and have to watch it more than once, because of camera limitations.
And to be clear, I'm not talking about casting replays, where some people might get confused. I'm talking about analyzing replays on your own.

nope there are no such options in sc2 as of right now and no 3rd party program that i know of that does anything of the sort. I don't know if blizz will add any of those capabilities so if it does happen it will be a 3rd party
