If you have criticism, you need to address the content, not the hosts. Idra and Artosis are 2 (1.5) Zerg players, but you can't point that out and then blanket them as biased. Respond to the content.
You can't tell them to "get 2 Terran and Protoss players". That's fucking obtuse advice. "Yo just get 4 more high level players to record with you." Yes, I think everyone sees the value in getting it, but it's not practical.
Respond to the content and use evidence / logic to back up your claims. |

Obviously this data size is way to small and limited to prove anything regarding which races may be overpowered. I only felt compelled to point out the irony that Artosis complained about Protoss being overpowered, yet somehow playing against Protoss turned out to be his best matchup.
Wow are you trolling..? Or just that stupid? pls don't let this be trolling, would be so funny :D I am totally not trolling. According to TLPD as of today Artosis is: 0-12 vs Terran 0-6 vs Zerg 4-3 vs Protoss Source: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1129_ArtosisThis does not prove anything, so I am not submitting it as balance evidence. I just enjoy the irony and thought others might too.
Well there are many things you can conclude from this.
I think it's fair to say Artosis is not on the same level as other progamers, which is not unreasonable because he spends so much time casting for gomtv. The non-mirror matchups are indicative of this. But when you look at PvP his results are quite different. Many pros believe PvP to be a "coinflip" matchup. Artosis's record in PvP looks to me as evidence of that matchup being a coinflip. That is, despite being of lesser skill than other pros he is still able to get the better end of the coinflip once in a while.
Of course some of those matches may have been when he played Zerg, so I don't know.

Can't wait to watch more IdrA and Artosis videos! Please make more for your loyal fans ;-D

I don't think we should take Artosis' matches as any indication of balance. I could list Nestea and say Terran is imba, list mvp and say Protoss is imba, and list Mana to show that Zerg is imba. You can conclude anything if we adjust statistiscs to our liking.

Using any specific player as evidence of complete racial imbalance is just silly. Not everybody is equal in understanding or proficiency of each matchup, and the only thing that can legitimately suggest game imbalance via statistics is a large pool of similar skill-level players with maps taken into account. Stats don't really mean anything about imbalance unless you use a very large player pool.
Stats do, however, do a good job of highlighting individual player's strengths and weaknesses, but also has flaws if you don't take into account their opponents, strategies, and maps. For instance:
If poopfeast420 is 7-1 as Zerg in televised matches with opponents such as fagtron5000, combat-ex, and bradpitt, that doesn't exactly show that he should be considered a high-skilled player or using an OP race when compared to someone like mrniceguy who is 6-5 as a Terran in televised matches with opponents like MC, HuK, and IdrA.
Of course this is all a crude explanation of what I mean, but my point is that throwing around statistics and not looking any further than that is really, in my opinion, quite useless.

You can see just in the way Artosis speaks that he knows a lot about the game. He's one of the most articulate players out there. There's no doubt in my mind if he practiced he would be pretty good (its just like Tyler's situation). So you can't base his credibility on his current ladder records. Plus he plays on the Korean ladder he's supposed to lose!

Since someone made a thread asking if this show is going back up again, maybe we should ask here. Does anything know/think this show is going to go back up again, and what should the next topic be?
|
Well, since IdrA is back in Korea with Artosis... Maybe. I'd like to see it come back, or at least air a few episodes to see what the fans think.

mutalisks maybe

Artosis has already filled his usual 2 episode quota.
|
I would love one on mutalisks, especially in ZvT. I know they are "more deadly" in ZvP, but they are quite more frequently seen in ZvT.

Ghosts of course.
Mayyyyyyybe mutalisks against protoss >.> but my zerg heart prevents me from backing this one and I'm sure it's the same for Idra.

They are seen in ZvT because it is one of the oldest strategies in Starcraft
All Z really has in SC2 is mutalingbane or mass ling/infestor

Ghosts already got nerfed? If they honestly still think there's a problem with ghosts, it's only going to make this show look completely stupid.

Drones.
Even WhiteRa has said that the zerg probes are too OP.

Ghosts are just a bad design all around, they've had to constantly 'fix' them as a result. Should never have taken EMP off the flying gas-heavy detector unit >=(

As a Terran, I would actually prefer if EMP were on Ravens tbh, it would definately take that edge off the already intense micro Terran needs.

This is not the emp the problem the problem is 15 ghosts can kill 200/200 zerg army and still have energy left

Idtrosis. Fuck yeah. Not to mention the combination of IdrA being in Korea makes this a big possiblity of happening again. I really hope it does, it was fun to watch when they were doing it back in February. And I personally support one on HT.
|
Ghosts still aren't fixed imo. Snipe still decimates protoss and zerg late game armies. Literally, decimates. Recently it's been pretty ridiculous as Terrans often find themselves sniping their way to victory. The sound is pretty haunting. Also there was that thread about vikings with their 9 range and transformer abilities. Let's hear it Artosis and Idra!

YES MORE IMBALANCED PLEASE!

lol.. idra would never admit mutalisks are overpowered
he would just suggest that they get increased re-gen when not moving and better upgrade scaling
i would like to see it go back on though perhaps an episode on how chargelots and probes are overpowered?
