I read this somewhere to. I think it was in an interview with him that was posted on tl.net shortly after MLG Dallas. I was at Dallas and watched all three of the games and when I saw the title for this vid I thought he was going to analyze what he did wrong. Then I saw which map and realized he was just going to show the one game he defended it, because it is the one map(in the dallas pool) that this strat is not good on. I think game three would have been a better game to look at. Because from this game he makes it sound like he knows exactly how to counter blink stalkers but then the very next game he loses to it again. It would have been more educational(imho) if he explained what he did wrong to lose against it after beating it so easily in game two.

"What he did wrong" was get Kulas as his map.
Hydra would not have been out fast enough, so he went roaches.
roaches vs blink stalkers and cliffs lose, so that was that

He wasn't forced to play the map in some random draw or something, he had the opportunity to eliminate it but didn't. I think Naz said the blink strategy doesn't work nearly as well on Steppes.

He said that in a Liquid Weekly

I'd like to see a rep where IdrA looses and goes through what he did wrong etcetc. just to get some variation! Anyhow, I think this is a brilliant idea to bring the community CloseR and not being afraid to share tips and what not. Big props for making these vids.
Isn't it obvious? Grack doesn't do anything wrong. He only loses because the other races are op, even in ZvZ.

You know what would be good publicity for Kingston? If IdrA says GG at the end of his pro-tips

haha wow you have possibly the greatest english-speaking sc2 player in the world walking you through the nuances of his play and all most of you can do is nitpick things that mean absolutely nothing. Even though I don't play zerg I found these vods pretty cool and good for the community. Also djwheet's voice at the beginning :D

I love the way idra analyzed this, I think he did a grw=eat job, I hope to see more of these in the future! I know Idra has gotten the reputation of an sc2 villian but think of it as something that will increase the interest in pro-gaming! :D

I completely agree. Not down voting Kulas was a big mistake. Which is something he could have talked about. Strategies are map dependent.

My point was that analyzing a game about how to defeat blink stalkers on the map that his opponent even admitted was bad for blink stalkers is somewhat misleading. His build was good for countering blink stalkers because the map was scrap station not because it is the best way to deal with blink stalkers in general... As seen by the results of game 3. Also as Hot_Bid said he didn't randomly get stuck with kulas he made the decision to not down vote it. He could talk about why in his analysis. In a tournament like MLG, which maps you down vote are very important.
For the record I respect Idra as a top level skilled player.

awesome! but just some constructive feedback:
the camera management needs a bit of work. Naturally as a gamer you want the camera to be zooming all over the place to match the speed you are thinking/doing things at. but as a commentator, less moving with the edges and more point and shoot or consistent panning would make watching a much more pleasant experience.
really digging the series, keep it up idra!

I thought he was very articulate and the details such as overlord placement were useful.
However, the porno music going in the background at all times was really awkward.
